For a maintainer my 20 year old Schumacher from Wally World works great. Have used it on my tractors, 6 volt Ford 9N Tractor, Corvettes, my enclosed race car trailer battery. Any 6 or 12 volt battery. Back then it was only $24.
For a carry on jump pack that I keep in the left cubby of the C7 I bought a DBPower Pak. Comes in a nice carry kit and is easy to use. Have only needed it one time at a car show in Ohio on a fellows 63 SWC. Show was over with everyone leaving and he has his hood up, said he was waiting on AAA. I said I have a jump pack, we connected it and his 63 fired right up. He took pics of it and said he was gonna buy one. Holds a charge for months. I paid $70 something for mine several years ago, now it is $49. You want one that can start big V8's.
. They are on sale for about $40 right now. I just used one to jump a strangers truck in a parking lot with no issues. It had been sitting in my car for a least 6 months since charging. You can pay much more for name brands but this has all of the functionality and safety features. I don't know why the link above isn't working for me. I'm not sure why Amazon links don't work for me so here is the listing title that you can copy and search.
ET03 Car Jump Starter 2500A Jump Starter Battery Pack for Up to 8.0L Gas and 7.0L Diesel Engines, 74Wh Portable 12V Jump Box with USB Ports, LCD Display, Storage Case, and LED Light

Link works for me. It looks similar to the DB unit. Like lots of these offshore products probably all come from the same warehouse in different colors and packaging. The key is to buy one that can start big V8's like the Corvette. Lots of the cheaper ones are only strong enough for 4 and 6 cyl. engines.
I have several maintainers, my old 20 pound jumper finally gave up so I’m wanting to buy the compact one on the market now of which there are many, that’s where you guys advise comes in, good to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for the info guys, I checked out the ones you mentioned and they all seem good products, I haven’t made a choice yet and looking into the Wolf 4000 also
I usually have 7 or 8 vehicles on the road, hence have three different brands of maintainers; but, I must confess my one "jumper/charger" is my late father's ol' Mongomery Ward I've had well over 30-years. Of course, I've only had the need to use it once about 15-years ago. But hey, it worked just fine.
