Welcome. Some things you can expect are a slightly tighter cockpit and some more advanced electronic gadgets compared to the C6. You can also expect the LT1 motor to have the Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation), which we found annoying and can be disabled inexpensively and conveniently.

The new things the rest of the board can expect are photos of your new ride when you take delivery. Kindly post them up asap.

We trudge on.

Welcome and congratulations! I had a Premier, great car!!! You get the green vert or the blue coupe? I had the blue coupe. As for the AFM, just keep it in Sport or Track mode and it won't engage. I kept mine in Sport Keep my new on there too. The mag ride is nice, the thing's glued to the road! (on good tires of course). Extremely costly though if you have problems with it..
First thing I had done to mine was professionally detailed and ceramic coated. Yes, costly but gorgeous results.

You're gonna LOVE it!

Is it an automatic or manual shift?
Excuse my ignorance.

This past Fall I went from a base c6 to a GS c7. The interior is much better, the power is quite a bit better (I had an ls2). The ride for me is not as soft but tolerable. The tech is so much better. Overall build is quieter and more solid. It is a little more cramped feeling in the c7 but the transparent roof helps. The C6 just felt more raw if that makes any sense. I miss the sound of my LS2 with Bullet exhaust but the stock npp valved exhaust on the C7 makes the right noises for me. I won't change it. Overall the C7 is a better car, but the styling of the C6 will always have my love.

I've no C6 experience, so I can't speak to any differences, but I can tell you you'll love your 2014! Congrats!

What can you expect - an incredible performing car with upgraded build and materials quality. You hopefully will enjoy your new car as much as many here on the C7 side of the house do,

I had a C6 Z06 from '18-20. Just bought a '15 Stingray Z51 coupe. Both manuals.
I've found the C7 quieter - wasn't looking for this, just reporting the difference from the Z06.
I like both dash panels... I have an affinity to the gauge in the main dash of C6, but you will like the high resolution center instrument digital screen.
I liked the C6 simplicity of the audio / HVAC systems wihout nav. That said I do like the modern screen infotainment on the C7. I especially like that main HVAC functions still physical interface.
C7 does have a more solid chassis, leverages the C6Z aluminum chassis with improvements.
Similar hatch space coupe to coupe, I imagine going convertible may have less rear storage?
Bottom line both are fun sports cars!! I'm biased to coupes but I am sure the convertible is a similar experience!!

It is the little things!

There is something immensely joyful about closing the top on a C7 and having it automatically lock, without any action on the drivers part. No mechanical locks to button down!

I would seriously think about getting a SmartTOP and the Window Valet, to complete the experience. It is nice to push the dash button once to put the top up or down.

Or, push the lock button three times on the FOB to make the top go up [without holding the button), or the unlock three times to open it.

You can open or close the windows with the FOB. With an extra push on the button, while they are going up, you can index them down an inch for ventilation.

Exchange the fluids, if it has Magnetic Ride Control, you should think about the update. You have the A6 Tranny, so you should be good there.

Now, go out and find a twisty road and have fun!

What new things can you expect? Better interior quality & more modern technology, the cons are you just traded out of one of the best Corvette body styles ever, no simple analog gauges, & no LS based engine
