For those that are using a wireless AA adapter, do you experience random audio cutouts regardless of audio source? I've tried two different adapters in both the armrests and behind the screen but still had the same results. Since both adapters do the same thing, I'm guessing it's something else and pretty sure it's not my Galaxy S23+.
I am using a Carlinkit dongle in my 2019, I use it for my forward looking camera so it displays on the infotainment screen when I need it. It runs on an Andriod platform but also supports Apple CARPLY, for ease of use I run it all the time and my iPhone connects to it automatically, so I run my Pandora thru it. It has been 95% reliable, but sometimes for no apparent reason it gets glitchy and drops the signal or refuses to connect right off the bat.
I did find that it works best when in the cubby under the armrest, it was really glitchy when I tried it in the cubby behind the infotainment screen.
I have the Motorola and the AA Wireless ones. Both seem pretty decent. I prefer the AA Wireless one since we can make changes if tech support tells us to for issues. With the Motorola one, you get what you get. I prefer more granular controls instead of them shrugging their shoulders and say "Well, it can't be helped.".
I'm leaning towards car issues. Regardless, I'll continue with one of the adapters. The first adapter I tried was inexpensive and was plug and play, which worked, but doesn't have any adjustments. The second one is the AAWireless Two so maybe need to get with their support and see if there are any settings that can be tweaked.
My experience as well with 2 different adapters, & 2 different iPhone's. I think it's the car or connection from the USB.
Yep. That USB connection is glitchy from my personal experience. Prone to dropouts. Then Android auto Google maps or Waze would freeze up. Probably not the wireless adapter.

I have the Motorola MA1 and it's worked 100%, but I've only had it for a month or so.
Depending on what you mean, my MA1 and AA Wireless work for the short term. Over an hour, it can drop out and reboot or sometimes, not and you have to shut it down. I'm thinking about the phone being the culprit.

I've only taken 2 relatively long drives with the MA1 in my C7, but probably less than an hour. I've used this same MA1 for long trips in our motorhome which has a Sony XAV-AX8000 head unit, no issues. I have a Pixel 7 Pro that I keep in my pocket going down the road.

Interesting. I switched between the Motorola and the AAWireless but after an hour, drop outs can happen. Different cars, different phones. All with the latest software.
I use the Carlinkit 5 with a S23 and it works fine with no dropouts. Usually connects in about 30 seconds. Maybe 1% of the time it won’t connect and requires a reboot. It is powered from the center console USB and mounted by Velcro about 6” behind the console on my coupe.
The phone is mounted by a swivel ball type mount that is 2 sided taped just below the passenger grab opening in the console. The phone is held to the mount with a magnet with a glued on metal disk on the back of the phones plastic case.
I have been using the AAWireless one since they were in GoFundMe. It got better as time went forward. The newest firmware is rock solid. Lots of configuration choices that the Motorola one does not have (I returned). No issues with AAWireless on the Vette.

That is rhe one I have. Can you drive 2 hours at least with it? I have not been able to with the s23, s24 or s25 phone.

Yes, no problems, but I have the phone on a charger.
Should not make a difference charging or not. Or at least, I can't see why. So 8t doesn't lose connection where the map closes out abs needs to do a self reload, like an auto reboot?

On my phone, Fold 6, AA is a battery hog and the battery runs down in a couple hours without leaving it on a charger for me. I use a Qi charger. Also, play streaming music like XM or Spotify seems to overheat the phone and I get warnings. I am sure the Qi charger contributes to that. So I use music hosted on the phone itself when I have the urge.
It does not seem to auto reload for me. On occasion, I used to have to reboot the phone or the dongle to get AA to work at startup but not so much recently with UI 7.
Make sure the AA Wireless is on the latest firmware, via the AA Wireless app.
