I am thinking ahead towards installing a pair of C7 Comp seats in my C5 Z06. Others have figured out generally how to run the heat and vent functions now as full on or off which is a helpful guide that my wife will enjoy on the rare occasions when I can sneak her out in the car. With our first baby on the way.... well.... it might be a long time yet.
One thing I am not aware of it how the heat and vent functions operate natively in the C7. I presume like most current production cars that they likely have multiple settings. Do they each have multiple settings? If so, how many for each?
The extra pointer answer would be if anyone here can stipulate the amperage/voltage for each setting if known.

My C7's heated and ventilated seats have three settings each. Good luck adapting the comp seats to your C5 - they make a huge difference compared to the C5 Seats.

Even coming from my Corbeau A4s I see a comfort gain. The foam is firmer. The fitment and support is better in that my shoulders fit these correctly. And they offer the electric rack with endless adjustment options to preference. The A4s remain awesome, just less adaptable with the manual rack and limited seat back options. I bought the Comps at the height of my back injury when I thought the Corbeaus may be an impediment, but I have done a lot of work towards recovery and pain reduction so the A4s will transfer over to the TS 427 car. And THAT one has a full Vette Essentials custom leather interior which is quite nice. I am terribly torn between wanting to keep that nice work whole as a set and replacing with the Corbeau seats, but the factory seats no matter how nicely upgraded simply offer no support and that car is intended to be a road ripper and track event car. It absolutely has the suspension already to require more lateral support than C5 seats ever offered. C'est la vie. So my real decision is do I keep the rest of the interior which is very nice, or do I consider selling it all as a whole to someone who would appreciate and care for it correctly. Tough call.
Some folks find the C7 seat heaters and ventilators to be effective but I, and many others, are not among them. I’ve had a number of cars with truly exceptional seat heaters and the C7 is not one of them. I honestly can’t tell when the cooling fans are on and seat heaters on high are barely perceptible. The seats are quite good but in this one area they are sorely lacking. I wouldn’t but much effort into activating them, the results will disappoint you.
Good to know. I'll still wire them upon install. Though at least for the heat function I can always take the apart in the Fall or Winter and add aftermarket pads. My wife will appreciate that, and so much I'll my spine.
3 settings. The seat heaters and vents are "standard" GM in that they are like any other GM car of the last I don't know 15 years (Whenever GM removed the separate back and seat heaters like my dad had on his 2005 Envoy). I think anything with "Global A" as the Electrical Architecture has these exact same (electronically) heaters and vents.
