I have issue with 2016 c7 corvette. Screen is black. I have checked all fuses, all electric cables behind the screen and I haven't found anything that is broken.
i have also taken all interior parts out and noticed water on passenger side floor. There is that body control module and it was touching the waterline. Can that module cause problems with screen or is problem in HMI box? Please help, before I order new and expensive boxes 🙏🏻
Water damage is tough on modern cars. Best not to just throw parts at it.
The radio module and PDR, if so equipped, is also right near the BCM.
Perhaps insurance may cover the damage? Might be something worth a phone call. Might also be worth the expense of having the dealer diagnose with a GM diagnostic tool if you don't have one. At least it will tell you which modules are unresponsive before you replace perfectly good modules.
However, it might be the cable known to go bad which is very inexpensive. Display Fix

Flame Red is right. Might want to ask about any updated reprogramming of the radio and HMI nodule. Also lots of info under the Black Screen of Death. Have GM tell you what's wrong.
If you are unable to identify the cause for the black infotainment screen, it is best to take your Corvette to a Chevrolet dealership for a diagnosis. As they are the experts with all GM vehicles, they will be the best source for assistance.
