Default Navigation Issues

The navigation on my 16 C7 has stopped working. I have the X through the GPS icon.
From what I have found so far it appears it may be the communications interface module. As I have no competent dealers in my area any troubleshooting help would be greatly appreciated. If it should be this module, can this be replaced without a dealer tool?

Thanks

Hopefully you can get the GPS back up and running without a dealer visit.

The issue may be due to the antenna becoming disconnected. Check the antenna connection behind the rear-view mirror panels.

Your post is great. I’m installing a blend mount radar detector soon and although I’ve watch the videos I was thinking there may be a written procedure on how to pull off the cover behind the mirror without breaking anything. Might you have that?
