Just joined and was wondering if anyone knows about the dash peeling or bubbling on the 2019 corvette? Just bought my 2019 C7 stingray and noticed the dash was peeling along the air vents and was wondering how to go about fixing the problem.Any help would be helpful....
Yes, I had a C6 with the same problem. They have had a few problems with C8's, too. It is a 3LT issue with the leather dash. There are lots of discussion on this site and others. Bad news: I understand it takes quite an effort and funds to fix it, including taking off the windshield and dash... if done by the pros, anywhere from $2-4 thousand... so we who own Corvettes pray hard!
I just purchased a dash mat for my 2014 3LT Ray, since I'm sure that the desert heat isn't kind when it comes to this issue. Now all I need is my car back from the dealer, I haven't had her all month......smh
Looking to try the Needle method on my C7 dash. I have a few questions on the process. Do you do the whole area with glue or just a small area at at time? I have a pretty large area on passenger side, maybe 20% is loose. How much working time do you have with the tear mender glue? I watched a video but did not really show my questions. Thanks Bob

I did a small section at a time taking a shallow angle with the needle ensuring that I was under the leather but above the foam layer below the leather. I used a microfiber cloth to smooth out the tear mender adhesive under the leather.
hey DSOM what mat did you get and does it make a difference?
I bought one from Amazon for approx $79.99 (custom fit it said), but I haven't been able to try it out yet as my car has been at the Dealer all month. I'll report back once I have the car back.
Well I did the needle method and must say it came out great. I have been worried about dash peeling. Hopefully it will hold up for years. Thanks to all replies and info. Bob After Before
