Hi all 'Vette lovers. I certainly love my 2015 Daytona Sunrise C7. However, one thing I did not love was the stock 18/19'' wheel size offsett. It just looked less muscular than it should. So, being a wise-guy, I went to a 19/20'' set-up. Looks amazing! But now have real tire trouble. Now the rear fender wells are rubbing both back tires.
So bad that I can smell burning rubber.... An honest auto body guy advised me to avoid "rolling the fenders". He said he would never recommend that for Corvette. Anyone have experience with this? Any suggestions? I would appreciate any input, ideas. Need helpful advice to fix this problem. Could always go back to 18/19'' (I have the wheels), but the bet of both worlds is keep the 19/20"s and lose the rub.
Thanks to all who are kind enough to respond!!

Your profile doesn't say what model you have, base, GS, Z06. You also didn't mention what size tires you put on . To me, sounds like you may not have the proper wheel offset and or put to wide of tire on.
Did you stay with Stingray 19" / 20" or go to GS / Z06 sizes? The Z51 19" /20" was later made standard for all Stingrays with or without Z51. My understanding is that both 18 / 19 and 19 / 20 standard fitments have the same tire outside diameter.
Here are the standard wheel & tire specs:
If you went with oversize wheels or tires you can have a problem. The car may also have been lowered. You may try raising the suspension a bit.
The above responses spot on. Also note that rolling fenders can be done with steel fenders - with risk of cracking paint - but of course fiberglass or carbon fiber fenders will not bend, only crack so can't do that.

The stock larger diameter wheels do not rub, for either the St'ray or the wide-bodies. The whole thing comes down to correct wheel width and offset for the car, correct tire size, and not having a lowered car, at least not dramatically. If the larger wheels are a problem, then one or more of these variables is "wrong." All the best, in any event.

and to add to the above statement, "rolling the fenders " refers to reforming the metal fender wells on a car to allow for more tire clearance, I'm not sure how this could be done on fiberglass/composite plastic body panels
If you purchased GS/Z06 sized wheels, you made a Boo Boo. They do not fit on a narrow body C7. There are 19 and 20 inch wheels available for the narrow body. They are just not as wide as the standard GS/Z06 wheels.

To ALL who were kind to reply to my "tire trouble", THANK YOU!. My '15 C7 is a Stingray. I should, but do not, know if I was SOLD GS wheels when I went to tire/wheel shop to replace the 18/19'' 's for the 19/20" 's. Hey, RonC7 thanks for the idea. I will raise it a bit and hope rubbing prob is solved. And thanks to you guys who are thumbs down on rolling the fenders... won't do!

To get a better look you might consider wider tires. I run 265s and 305s on my stock width18/19 wheels for autocross. My stock width 19/20 wheels have stock width Michelin 4S. The 4S have a narrow tread for size w/ a rounded edge so look maybe narrower than they are. But every time I install the 265/305s, they immediately make the car look better.
