I run 2 sets of Continental tires on my Z06:

Warm weather months - ExtremeContact Sport 02 - very smooth, comfortable , quite, excellent traction in a straight line & lateral grip in the corners. Virtually identical to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

Cold weather months - ExtremeContact DWS 06 - all of the same attributes of the Sport 02 - but with about a 20% step down in each aspect. On my VW GTI, they got noisier as they accumulated miles.

If you push your car hard during the warm weather months, you may be disappointed with the all-season DWS 06. If you're just a casual cruiser, you'll be very happy.

If you've been running the OEM Michelin Pilot Super Sports, you may miss the crisp razor-sharp handling & immediate response to steering inputs that they possess. Very few tires can match their permormance in warm weather, IMHO.

Thanks. Tire Rack only carries the 06. I will probably go with them.

I had them on my Z06 and was not a fan. The Continentals perform just as well, if not better; and they ride 10 X smoother.

I ran a set of the Continentals on a 2015 Impala and was pleased. Not a Vette, but the car rode well.

I currently use Michelin A/S 3+ ZPs and love them on the car.

15 ZO6. I do exactly the same. I'm happy with the performance of Sport 02 and dsw 06. Sport 02 on black zo6 rims. DSW 06 on knock off chrome zo6 rims. All bought at tire rack. I like how it changes look of car switching rims when seasons change

What do you do on road trips for potential flats? Do they handle as well as the mich pilots?

Not a fan. Had them on various other vehicles and they tend to flat-spot when sitting out in the cold. I know others haven't had this issue.

I have the Extreme Contact DWS on my 2014 and I really enjoy the way they drive and ride. My '14 is a Z51, but since I use it as a street driver and not on the track I have replaced the Z51 wheels (19/20) with smaller diameter wheels, (18/19) for a smoother ride. The Continentals work well for my driving style.

Wife's 2015 Mustang GT is on it's 3rd set of DWS06s so yeah, we like them. When she was till working there were quite a few days she showed for work in the snow while others called in.

Ran Continental Extreme before I finally chose some forged wheels. I really didn't like the rolled sidewall appearance but they extended the life of the factory rims. Now I'm on 20/21 setup with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ZP in 275/30/20 and 345/25/21. Being boosted the Continental's gave up immediately and while the new Michelin's are a bit wide and larger in diameter they are much better at putting the torque down before giving up.

The Continental pictured is an OEM size 285/30/19 and in the background is the 275/30/20... I really prefer the square shoulder.

The Michelin's certainly produce more road noise (they are ZP), but the preciseness of their responsiveness is considerably improved over the Continentals. The Continentals are much better in the rain, but that's not too much of a concern because, while I've proved my Vette won't melt in the rain (I do have 46k on it), regardless of the tire the car isn't fun in the rain.

I just had a set of Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires installed yesterday and I'm extremely pleased. They are much quieter and smoother than the OEM Michelins. The hope is that they will also prevent the GS rims from cracking.

Extreme Contact Sports here as well. They preform way better than the Michelins that came on the car. Way quieter as well. I have no issues with them in the colder weather either. Car ran a 4.99 60-130 and it was 38* outside so traction is still good but even better in the warmer months.

I have the same complaint about Continentals...I don't like the rolled shoulder design on the C7. I ran Continentals on my last C5Z and didn't look that bad.
