Default Soler throttle body not fitting properly.

So I bought my c7 8 months ago or so. I am absolutely in love with it. The previous owner installed a soler 95mm throttle body. Recently its been giving me issues, the engine will go into reduced power mode and I will need to restart the car. When I do that I get a CEL code p2101.

I contacted soler and thought it might be my throttle controller but they said it was the throttle body, and sent me a replacement. I went to install it yesterday and it didnt line up properly with the adapter plate. I found this odd since its the same model I already had installed. When I checked out the one I already had installed they had filed off part of the aluminum on the bottom to get it to fit. There's a bracket of some sort right under the throttle body in the engine bay that was like 1 or 2 mm too high it seems Once I filed the new one like the old one it fit.

Has anyone else had to do this or is my car a bit weird? Ill attach a pic.

Filed off the protruding part that is circled.

What model C7 do you have? There are fitment notes on their website specifically for the 95mm TB. It looks like the ZR1 is the only model that is a direct fit.

2014 base c7. I had the adapter plate for it installed already. The issue was the throttle body needed to sit 1 or 2 mm lower, but there is a piece of metal in the way.

I can't say for sure then. I have the 91mm and it fits without any modification.

I have a 2014 and purchased the throttle body directly from soler for the car. It’s a 91mm and a direct fit for my M7 Z51. I have had zero issues with it, and have also installed the throttle controller as well. Excellent service and parts.

This is the part number:

SE8223-91, 91 MM EFF. (LT1)
