I was tired of the V4 mode, I got the dongle, it does work. I got tired of the dongle, (AFM/DFM disabler). I used the CRAZED PERFORMANCE method to stop it from going into 4 cyl mode.
Maybe I missed it, but do you have a shop in mind to fix it? Be very selective with your choice and make sure they are well versed in this repair as setting the proper thrust bearing clearance is absolutely critical to get right or it will take out your engine quickly after the repair. Not trying to scare you, just inform you beforehand. Plenty of posts regarding thrust bearing failures resulting from improperly installed torque tubes with automatic transmissions. Knowledge is power
I don’t have a shop in mind, I do know a Chevy mechanic who is the shop manager so I can always take it there, but the dealership told me to take it to the Chevy place they do work with, the dealer I bought it through isn’t helpful in any way they do thing weird Patriot auto in tulsa ok, wouldn’t recommend for anyone seeing this
That's probably why someone sold the car. Look at it this way, after getting it fixed you will never have to worry about it again probably. Unlike me who has to wonder if it will happen any day. Mine never goes in to V4, but you never know. And luckily, so many people on here were able to help you with the problem, instead of it being a mystery. Best to get this headache over early, if it's going to happen
probably so, I just can’t remember hearing it when I test drove it, but then again I was so excited and the lot had music playing outside, I really think it gave out on my ride home with how I instantly noticed it right when I got into the driveway and shut it off

This is EXACTLY why I don't test drive a car I am buying these days. I send it to someone independent of the seller for a Pre Delivery Inspection. That selected mechanic can get under the car and knows more about it than I do whereas I can stare at the engine and pretend I know what to look out for. That said, while it is too late for a PDI, maybe you need to find yourself a Corvette Certified tech at a GM dealership so that there is less question about the diagnosis when you present it for warranty? Assuming you do have a short warranty like I did when I purchased my C7? It was raining on the day I got there, wife decided she liked the red one better than the yellow one which I liked better because it didn't absorb as much heat. The other father-son duo had the exact same idea but got there first so they bought the yellow, I bought the red. Drove home.
A couple days later, I found the key fob not working but the other one does. Got GM to diagnose it, wipe all keys and reprogram. Took a couple of hours and all paid for under the short warranty from the seller. So, what are the terms of sale? As Is or is there a short warranty? If short, take it to GM and let them figure it out. IF none, well, hopefully someone can see your location and might be closer to you and be willing to give you their $0.02 worth.
If you are unable to identify the source of knocking sound, it is best to take your 2019 Corvette to a Chevrolet dealership for a diagnosis. As they are the experts with all GM vehicles, they will be the best source for assistance.
