Anyone have experience with the DSC suspension controller, or something similar
The 2019 C7's have a revised Mag Ride programming that GM claims improves both the ride and the handling, though it is not as adjustable and probably not as advanced as the DSC.
Some models of 2018 C7's have some of the advances in programing but not all.
2017 and earlier don't have the improvement at all, but most of it is available as a computer update (no parts replaced) from a GM dealer who knows their stuff.
Our 2017 Z51 has the dealer installed update, Tour & Sport but Track is not changed. We love it!
Have the DSC in my 2019 GS. Takes about 15 minutes to install. Pull the left front fender liner back and get your hand behind it to take out 1 bolt holding GM box. The only thing I did to the software was to zero the height of each shock. Car rides softer, even in Track mode. The GM ride control energizes the shocks on a continued basis, hence the harder ride. DSC only adjusts shocks based on need. The car really handles a lot better. Another feature is launch control-it stiffens the rear and loosens the front for maximum weight transfer. Just stab the throttle once to engage the DSC before launch. Kind of pricey, on sale now. Make sure you get the latest software version if you buy it used.
