Mine are indoor cats and they get their nails clipped every couple of weeks.

When I am not going to be driving for a while, I will cover the car with a soft indoor cover. Before covering, I always give the car a cleaning/detail. You do not want to cover a dusty/dirty car.

When it is time to drive again, it is great to uncover a clean & shiny car, ready to go.

I keep these cars in my workshop not in my garage, so I don't have the issue of opening/closing doors for the daily drivers.

Regards,

I asked that years ago when I first bought the car and the salesman told me to buy winter tires and drive it.
If in a garage use your discretion, cover or uncovered, there is no wrong way.

Mine has been covered every winter since '76-'77. Paint is 49 year old original factory lacquer. Micro scratches must be a myth....

Always cover it. Protects the paint from unnecessary scratches and dings.

Regards,
Unless your garage has air leaks, it's not a problem to have uncovered cars. Outside or open air? Yes, never leave uncovered.

I detail wax the car and put the cover on to keep the top clean.

Garage kept..
I'd keep it covered to protect it from the everyday dirt/trash that blows around; and to keep it shielded from UV when the garage is open.

I’d cover it. My wife has a 79 Corvette not covered and my 19 Z is. I could tell a big difference over time
with the dust or crap on her car from opening and closing the garage door. Obviously in the winter she’s not in there nearly as much, but still a difference.

My routine is to change the oil & filter, do a good detailing inside and out, hook up the battery tender, put on the nice GM inside cover and put the Z06 to bed on the top bunk until spring…also set the thermostat to 50.
Then it’s all ready to rumble when spring gets here

with everything you said
Nice lift and Z28! Wish my ceiling was high enough for a lift. Would have kept my 84 TA or my 2013 ZL1. Wife said too many cars and too expensive to keep renting a storage unit . So I just have my 19 Z and her 79 Vett .Plus 3 other cars for our DD that are parked on our driveway
