It makes me sick to see the kind of damage that inattentive drivers can cause to a Corvette.
Amazing to see how your car was repaired. I hope it feels normal when you drive it.
Looks great.
It makes me want to only drive on roads where there's nobody else around.

Just a guess but it looks like it will be very, very close to being totaled. I'm not sure I would want it back if it is close. Best of luck in your dealings with the insurance company.
Sorry about your car. Glad you are not hurt.
As to your question, it is between your insurance adjuster and you as to whether cost of repairs is too much.
In August of 2023, I was stopped in traffic when a Prius didn't stop. Slammed into the back of me and pushed me into the car ahead. Unfortunately, I was driving my 17 Black Rose Grand Sport. I decided to go through my own insurance (and let them battle the other driver's). I had a discussion with my adjuster about totalling it out and I said I'd rather not. Of course at the time, we thought it was just body work. The first body shop found that the rear tub was cracked and wouldn't work on it. I took it to one of two GM authorized Corvette body shops in the state. They found not only was the tub cracked, but the front and rear frames were damaged. Fortunately on C7's, those are replaceable.
It ended up being $41,500 in damages and out for almost a year (this happened when GM went on strike). All done, the shop did an excellent job.
....
Black Rose a rare and special gem, thanks for getting yours fixed so the rest of us can see it.
Distracted driver came through intersection and i nearly made it clear but clipped him. didn’t leak any fluid and air bags didn’t deploy. also crunk and drove like 20 feet after tow.
It looks like it is mostly or all bolt-on parts. The right front frame horn may be bent, but it is designed to be replaced and there are procedures to do the replacement or straightening. Body-on-frame construction means there is less chance of frame bending. The main issue is parts availability. Body shops can make it look and drive better than new but they can't do that if they can't get the parts.
Id be more concerned as to why the airbag didn't deploy...did you buy that car used? Unacceptable. That's a hard hit. Sorry it happened, and glad you're ok.
Unless OP’s head bounced off the windshield, there’s no reason for the airbag to deploy. The car’s sensors are smarter than us.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
