Default Backup camera on the front

I purchased through Amazon a Green Yi back up camera (works through an app that uses your cell phone as the screen) that I'd like to install on the front of my 2014 Stingray, which, as many of you know does not come with a front camera to assist face-in curb parking. I temporarily installed it on the small piece of grille that pops out (supposedly for the tow hook which isn't provided for on '14's) and that obviously give me an offset view of the front, favoring the right side. My Vette has the center mounted license plate holder so getting it closer to center is not possible. For the test installation I wired it "hot" to a spare 12v battery, planning to use a fuse tap for the final installation. So, my question(s) to those out there is (1) Have any of you tried using the pop-out grill piece for mounting a camera? (2) Any ideas on getting it better centered (I'm in a front plate state and it's enforced) short of drilling through the license plate/plate mount? and (3) What's a good fuse to tap on to in the engine compartment fuse block/box? I obviously don't want it "hot" all the time so I'm looking for a fuse that's hot when the Vette is running and hopefully not connected to any of the control modules (I've heard horror stories about adding accessories and making trouble with the dang on-board computers). Thanks in advance for your thoughts, ideas and experiences!

Here is what I did on my 2019 1LT, fuse box on your 14 is likely to be different than mine.

Very interested in this. If you do the install, I hope you will fully document the process and share with us. Best of luck to you with this.

I have this same camera for the front. I installed the front camera in my 2017. I used it at first but after a while I got tired of having to make sure the carlink was connected to the camera's wireless and then press a button to see the video. I just back in 99.9% of the time. When I pull in forward I just make sure I stop way short.
