14* today, I had to take my 2014 out for a test drive. It did just fine, all temps warmed up to normal temp. The only difference, than if it was 70* out, it took just a bit longer to reach normal temp. The temp warning ring around the tach even went away. The car doesn't do that well on icy roads.
I'm a rural mail carrier, 30 years now. Saw a young teen boy stuck at the end of his drive today in a FWD Impala. He was out there with a shovel doing his best. I circled back in my Jeep and offered to pull him out but there was so much snow packed up in there it wasn't going to happen fast. He wanted me to hop in and push me. Told him to hold up on pushing but let me give in a shot. He'd obviously just been gunning it and hoping for the best. I started rocking it and see sawing the wheel back and force and made headway. Took me a few minutes and he eventually had to push for a few feet but we got it out. Very polite and very thankful young man for giving him a hand. He couldn't believe I got it out.
Old man knowledge you man. Old man knowledge.Felt good to help him, especially him being a good kid and knowing how to say thanks.
We're supposed to get 8-12" of snow. That's not "Corvette weather" for me. Even though I have Michelin AS/4 ZP's.
My C7 is tucked away in the garage with a battery tender. If we get a mild dry winter day in a few weeks, I'll consider taking a drive. But, here in western Pennsylvania, they use salt when there's snow on the roads. I don't want any of that on the underside of my Corvette.
I love seeing videos of a Corvette driving on a snowy road, but that's not for me. Too much risk in my opinion.
Here's someone that learned the hard way...

Not sure but I had some wheel spin at 45 degrees when I launch it on a ramp so not sure what the point of driving it in the winter is unless that is your only car.

Where in w. pa?? Born and raised in the Conneaut Lake/Meadville area
Not only is it crazy to me, there is the issue of what road salt does to aluminum, totally trashes it, very hard to get it looking good again, mine has a hard enough time getting traction in the summer

About 8" and still going strong here. I won't drive mine if there is any chance of even salt residue left on the roads. After that cold roads are out. I have no need to drive mine when road temps are below 40 degrees.

Yes, salt is the ultimate deal breaker for me. -29 this morning. The C7 is many weeks into her long winter nap. Checked on her the other day. She is sleeping soundly, under the cover, with her battery tender on green. 😀
She’ll see the sunshine again, hopefully at the end of April.😪

Cold here in the south today too. Presently 33 degrees in Murrells Inlet, SC. No freezing rain though. To all that are affected by this storm, stay warm and safe.
