Ohhhh! Absolutely! I wonder how the F150 would do in 7" of snow in my yard? The vette wont see it but the Ford...maybe.
I got the Juke out, needed to be around people. 5 days in house alone will damn near drive ya crazy (me at least), now if i can get back in the garage later, to be seen
I love doing doughnuts. Hubs didn’t even give me the side eye So fun. Took us two hours of shoveling (me) and tractor blade (him) before fun time for me. Lol.

We got six inches of snow over last weekend. Luckily avoided the huge ice storm. The highway department did spread salt out on the roads, so it will be quite a while before my car gets out of the garage.
Been really cold here in central Alabama. My C7 is my daily driver. Obviously, I would not drive it in ice or snow, but in the cold temps it has done very well.

The weather you guys (deep south) have been having is a bit crazy! Way cold for that part of the country....stay warm!
While we rarely get snow in central TX, ice storms are a common occurrence during the winter.
The storm arrived here in central TX Friday evening and by 10pm the only precipitation falling was sleet pellets. This continued through the early morning hours and I woke up Saturday morning to a 2" sheet of ice everywhere. Snow can provide some (very little) friction to drive upon but ice provides none. Yesterday, Tuesday afternoon the ice field over my driveway finally thawed somewhat and I spent 3.5 hours shoveling ice and slush from the drive.
Today the roads and the driveway will be clear and the C7 will be on the road once again.

If by done very well you mean that it drives as well as a RWD car can if you are gentle and careful, sure. Better than an AWD car with a little spirited driving? Prove it.

Jesus man, just stay home. Many of us have been doing it for decades. And almost every car on the road used to be RWD.
FYI you remind me of the lifted truck guys that I see in the ditch. Just because you can take off quicker with AWD or 4WD doesn't meant you can turn or stop any quicker than a RWD.

What's your point? Are you one of the old timers coming out saying "How did we survive without X, Y or Z?". Don't know, don't care. When you have cancer, do you ask how our forefathers survived without the current medical standards? When you take a dump late one winter night, do you care that your forefathers didn't have indoor plumbing? Things improved since then. I don't set standards based on what was or wasn't. Back in the 90s, I drove a 91 Firebird with 420 RWHP year round on 245 50 ZR16 tires. Compared to anything with AWD or FWD, it was miserable.
I don't know anything about lifted trucks since I have never done that. Closest thing I did to that is to fit F250 springs to my Ford Excursion. I fully understand that all vehicles are subject to the laws of physics. My point is that I have to tone down my driving with the C7 so why do I need to have it on the road instead of my other vehicles that are more pleasant?
Why would you be surprised? I am a fan of cars and I bet there are others in this thread that thought the same thing. I have had several different ones...I always think THIS IS THE ONE! I will NEVER get rid of this car. LOL Then something shiny catches my eye.
I love beautiful cars. This body was a winner for sure. Thanks for all the pics. It looks well loved.
You would be surprised because I was making a joke because I have posted a lot of pictures of my Dodge Charger in this Corvette forum 😂😂😂 nothing random though The threads always called for showing other cars. Thanks for the compliments she's been with me since she rolled off the factory floor. I believe it's 87K on it now. Purchased at the beginning of 2006.

^^^^ Why must you be such a right-fighter young man? This is meant as a friendly site for corvette lovers, not a debate class

I'm a rural mail carrier, 30 years now. Saw a young teen boy stuck at the end of his drive today in a FWD Impala. He was out there with a shovel doing his best. I circled back in my Jeep and offered to pull him out but there was so much snow packed up in there it wasn't going to happen fast. He wanted me to hop in and push me. Told him to hold up on pushing but let me give in a shot. He'd obviously just been gunning it and hoping for the best. I started rocking it and see sawing the wheel back and force and made headway. Took me a few minutes and he eventually had to push for a few feet but we got it out. Very polite and very thankful young man for giving him a hand. He couldn't believe I got it out.
Old man knowledge you man. Old man knowledge.Felt good to help him, especially him being a good kid and knowing how to say thanks.
