Weird Audio System Phenomenon
A few days ago we were driving up CA Hwy 1 near Big Sur and had to stop for road work. (Nothing unusual about it on THAT road!) A workman stopped us for one-way traffic, and since his stop sign went up just as we approached, we were the first in line in front of him, waiting for his signal to proceed. Suddenly, all of his radio conversations with the other workmen came over our car audio system, clear as a bell. We hadn’t been using our audio—just using CarPlay to show our Google Maps directions from my iPhone, which were muted. I even heard him tell the guy at the other end of the road closure when he was sending cars through and the lead car would be our Vette. (I have a 2018 C7 GS 2LT with no after-market equipment except forged wheels and a Range AFM disabler.)
I’m curious. Anyone ever experienced this or have an idea of what happened?
