Im sure this has been asked before however my search had zero results.
About 50% of my rides have zero or very spotty cell phone service. I have a small tool kit in the car that will hopefully help me return to civilization if a small issue arrives. I need to add a reliable 12v air compressor. I dont anticipate using it often which is why reliability is a must. Thought I'd ask the fine members of the forum what they have.
I carry a Slime tire repair kit that has a compressor with it.Also has a plug kit and sealant with it.Fits in the rear cubby and compressor works surprisingly well.
I am a rural mail carrier who drives my own vehicle and need a reliable and capable pump to fill a low tire. Belos is the one I have. It isn't the most compact ever, but it isn't huge either. It is rock solid as far as reliability. PLENTY of hose and cord length for even the largest vehicles. Mine gets used semi frequently. Nice travel bag to keep things tidy.
I keep a rechargeable/cordless pump in my Vette for emergencies. That link is below. Settled on that one after a decent amount of research. I have never had to use it. But if you want a sturdy/reliable 12v, I highly recommend the Viair. They are very well built and last. I've only replaced it once and it had some years on it.

I also have the Slime tire repair kit I keep in one of my cars and I have kept a kit bought at Walmart (Victor plug kit and Campbell Hausfield air compressor) in my car in the past.
Thanks for the recommendations. This will be primarily used for emergencies so I would rather go with one that plugs into the car's 12v accessory socket. The rechargeable ones are cool but im afraid that it wouldn't be charged when needed.

Not sure if this will help you, but...
I've kept a small tool kit in each of our cars for the last 30 years. It's never been used to fix any problem that had us "grounded", but it's fixed plenty of problems in the hotel room and other stuff that we had with us in the car.
The only flat we've had in a Corvette was a sidewall cut that couldn't be plugged or patched and so our portable compressor was useless, so we drove 20+ miles up the Tail of the Dragon on the flat runflat to a tire store. No problem.
But I've used the compressor to air up many friends' tires that were getting a Low Pressure warning because of cold Fall/Winter temperatures, or at autocrosses. I'm keeping it.
I have the same one only it's labeled "Goodyear" Picked it up at Costco a few years ago for less than thirty dollars. It fits perfectly in the rear cubby storage. I also carry a couple of different plug kits and various tools and an electric scissor jack and
a couple of LED lights. To me, it's a good trade off for non run flat tires-a lot quieter and smoother ride. Made several cross country road trips and have never had to access the tools in the rear cubby. If nothing works, I also carry a AAA card and a cell phone.

Others have suggested a good book and a sidearm to keep you company while waiting for the flatbed to arrive...
