Default Kustom Interior Covers

Directly related to Kustom Interiors — can anyone share their recent experiences with their seat covers?

My driver’s bolster is getting pretty worn, and I’m considering these covers as an alternative to doing full seat surgery. From what I’ve seen online they seem like a decent option, but I’d appreciate hearing some real-world feedback before pulling the trigger. Thanks.

Can’t speak as to the quality of their products, but they do look good in the pics.

Hopefully someone has bought from them and can post up the feedback you are seeking.

Granted this was on a C8 Z06, but I saw some in-person at our local cruise tonight...looks like a quality product...

Have them for approximately 3 years now .

I added the Stingray logo to make it look a bit more original, love how they look in the car.

Take your time to install them correctly and the fit is very good.

Overall, quite happy with the quality.

Logo was purchased from GM dealer.
It has 4 pins at the back, I used a hole punch to put the four holes on the cover and then attached it with 4 Starlock washers ( purchased from Amazon )

The logos come with a spring clip in the package but you have to be careful using those, if you don't press it down evenly the tabs on the logo will break, I learned that the hard way
I also glued a leather patch behind the cover over the pins to prevent it from damaging the original seat covers.

I’ve had my seat covers 3-4 years now and love them. I think the quality is excellent and they fit like a glove. I highly recommend taking the seats out for best and easiest installation. It’s not hard a few bolts and disconnect the plug under the seat. I’d also disconnect the battery you don’t want the air bag possibly going off.

I've had mine for 2 years. I have one issue with them ... the seat bottom doesn't lay down flat, instead it is "puffed" up above the seat bottom. Dang, that's hard to explain.

When I contacted Kustom after installing them, they said the bottom would settle down / lay down on the seat after a few weeks of driving. It hasn't.

I'm still happy with them because the blue is close to tension blue which is what my wife wanted as an interior color

Take the seats out of the car to install them. Note that the electrical connector to the seats is different in 18/19 from previous years. Also note that there is not a difference between left and right side for the back cover, but there is for the bottom! I had to redo mine when I discovered that I couldn't use the seat controls since there is a longer side and a shorter side on the bottom cover.

i would not purchase Katzkin. I bought a car with katzkin, a few years later I had an issue and went to my local distributor for help. He wouldn't order what I needed. This wasn't warranty work, I was paying. I called Katzkin and explained to them my situation. They said to find another distributor and named a few in my area, 40 to 60 miles away. My local distributor was 10 miles away. I asked katzkin to sell to me directly since my local distributor wouldn't process my order, they refused. I tried to reason with them but they would not budge.

Maybe they changed their business model and will now sell directly. Ill never use them again. Service after the sell is everything, refusing to help someone when your distributor won't is a foolish way to conduct business.
