Default Brake rotor source??

Where is the most cost-effective place to get replacement brake rotors for a 2017 C7 Grand Sport w iron brakes that have the three-piece rotors? I might replace the entire rotor, hat and hardware, or I may just replace the rotor. Probably focusing on the front brakes only. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

I did a search for you and availability supersedes cost effectiveness in the case of a Grand Sport. I checked Zip Corvette, Mid America, NAPA and Advance Auto and they do not have C7 Grand Sport rotors, but GM Parts does.

The last time I checked the proper GM part numbers for J56 Grand Sport rotors (two-piece Brembo Iron Rotors) were: Front 84951566, Rear 84951567. You can sometimes find them at Autozone and or O'Riellys, just make sure they are the J56 versions that match the GM numbers I have also seen them a Summit Racing and KNS brakes a forum vendor. Cheapest I have seen is approximately $600 per rotor. That is why I am going to get as many miles as possible out of a set that I can on my 17 GS (mine will be due in about 3000 miles). If you get a Dealer quote be sure to sit down first it will be over $6000, dealers charge $1200 to $1400 per rotor and over $500 for a set of pads. The cost for Grand Sport brakes is totally absurd.

Damn, did not realize the GS rotors were that high. Makes me kind of glad that I have the base Corvette rotors on my car.

OP, why are you replacing the rotors? Unless you are tracking the car, those rotors should last a very long time. Going the DBA Ring Replacement Route, you can save about 30%, but the cost is still high.

Make sure the rotors really don't need replacement. With street duty only usage, the rotors should last long enough to wear out 2 or 3 sets of pads.
