My understanding is that whether you feel it or not, the old fluid is not good for torque converter and transmission component performance/life. I recommend that you get the triple flush.
If you are not having the shutter issue there is no need to spend the money and as far as warranty is concerned most dealers do not apply it for the triple flush because it was not a recall, simply a tech bulletin. Not ever A8 had the issue.
We don't have a shuTTer so no issues there. As to the shuDDer issue, it may not show signs until it is bad enough. So I wouldn't wait since it could be damaging stuff BEFORE you notice it.
Did you buy from a dealer? I bought a 2017 last August (4900 miles). After 2 wks I noticed the shutter. Dealer (West Herr Buffalo) did the triple flush at no charge.

The word from our Corvette tech and others is that the original fluid will eventually cause damage to the tranny, but nobody can predict how soon and how much.
When the triple flush bulletin first came out, it specifically stated that the only "diagnosis" to be performed was the owner stating that he was experiencing the shudder. If the car was still under the original powertrain warranty (5 yrs/50k miles?), it was done at no charge.

People will try to be cheap and not do anything till they feel the symptoms. By the time they feel the symptoms, if too much damage has been done, the good news is the rebuilt transmission will have the best fluid.

Well said. If you don't have any history of changing your fluids, get them done. At this point, the newest C7 is going on 7 years old, IT IS TIME!!
If you believe the people who do fluid testing for a living, atf should be changed every 30k regardless of what the marketing droids at the manufacturer claim. That’s assuming you care about keeping your car/transmission for a long time of course. Point being that at 26k miles you’re close to being due for a proper service anyway so why not just get the triple flush and call it done.

Are these people engineers with proper credentials who have published a peer reviewed paper or some idiot on YouTube trying to get his 15 minutes of fame? I don't know if manufacturer intervals are that bad. Sure, a bit conservative but that is fine for most drivers. IMO, if you really want to know if the interval is, test.
Is 30 miles a lot for the oil? If the car gets it a quarter mile at a time, absolutely. 3000 miles with the cruise control set at 55? No worries. Best way to be sure for YOUR driving conditions is to test it.
