Default Night mode: Instrumentation illumination

Is there any way to dial in more brightness for the instrumentation? Maximum setting from dial is not nearly bright enough during that period before darkness. Greater brightness is possible as observed from day mode. I want the choice to make it brighter in night mode. Thanks.

This has been brought up a few times by other owners. GM needs to put a light sensor in the instrument cluster, hopefully there is one already and they can just reprogram it.

I noticed that as well. Had the car on the dyno with the sun to my back and the thing went into night mode.....couldn't see the tach anymore other than the HUD.

That needs to be fixed pretty soon..

It is more than fine at night, I didn't have any issues with seeing anything at night time, but that big blazing ball of fire in the sky known as the sun makes it hard for that LED screen to show you to much if it is in direct light.

Just talked with a Corvette representative and he told me they know that the illumination is too dark at dusk and a fix is being developed that will give the driver a choice for greater brightness in night mode. Thanks for all the responses.

I've notified Dealer as well. I think I saw an override for the dash lights in the Owner's Manual, but I haven't run it down yet in the Settings menu. If you have, let me know.

That is why I would always choose conventional instruments...but I am a practical old guy so I understand that we must advance.
