So how is it driving the 7 speed? Any chance of getting 7th when you want 5th upshifting from 4th, or getting 4th when you want 6th downshifting from 7th?
That's a lot of gears on one stick, maybe it should have had a splitter like a truck.
Oh wait, they did that already on the early C4s...

I can honestly say that I usually go from 5th straight to 7th. I figure If I'm going fast enough to be in 5th then why not go to 7th for the lower RPM's.

The base is not a Hurst part, but a custom base from Core-shifters. The shifter mechanism is from the Hurst Billet plus 2 shifter design. The chrome stick and ball are stock Hurst parts. The stick bolts to the stub on the base..
It does not have shifter stops, but neither does the stock shifter since they are built into the transmission. The throw is the same as the Hurst short throw shifter and the C6 stock shifter, so you do not gain anything as far as reduction in throw...
I use the Hurst Billet Plus it is about 30 percent or so shorter.
No point in putting a shifter unless it shortens the throw!

Like this!! I like it!!
The only down side to it is, that the transmission noise comes through the shifter.
I would post the seller, but I was threatened on here before for just asking if a seller's prices were right on their web site. Just do a google.

I tried to open your video, but couldn't.
My factory 7 speed manual shifter **** is slightly crooked, and I just want to straighten it.
Can you tell me again how to remove the factory **** so I could adjust it?
Many thanks

Define crooked. Its held by the chrome ring then screwed into the shaft
