Hurst already have a shifter kit for this car? Ditto on the question about active rev matching? How much stiffer/shorter is the throw? The C7 seemed to have an excellent OEM shifter when I sat in it.

It doesn't affect Rev Match at all.

The throws are Short, Precise, Crisp.

The Poolball looks funny as hell with a 7 gear shift gate on it lol

You just brought me one more step closer to buying a C7.
It's nice to know I can transfer the shifter that I know and love from my C6 to the C7. I had feared that the Rev Matching would not be compatible with short throw shifters.

I really wanted a DCT for the C7, and will wait at least another year to see if anything points to a DCT in the future for the C7. But, this info will make it easier for me to buy the C7. Thanks again!
Glad to be of service man.

Meaning are there set screws you can adjust to limit the travel of the shifter in the gates?
This is available on some shifters in order to limit stress on the shift system.
Basically they keep you from pulling on the linkage farther than required when the shift is completed.

In your opinion, how much did shift effort increase and how much shorter between gates?

Everything is pretty much pre ready to go with no adjustments needed or available. The pricing points will be very similar to the C6 short throw shifters. There is an option for one that will work with the stock shifter and this version for the folks that want to change out the shifter and rod. It is very nice and shifting is very crisp.

We will have great pricing up asap

I have this shifter in my C5, and it will also fit C6s.
The base is not a Hurst part, but a custom base from Core-shifters. The shifter mechanism is from the Hurst Billet plus 2 shifter design. The chrome stick and ball are stock Hurst parts. The stick bolts to the stub on the base..

It does not have shifter stops, but neither does the stock shifter since they are built into the transmission. The throw is the same as the Hurst short throw shifter and the C6 stock shifter, so you do not gain anything as far as reduction in throw...

Sold the C5 and moved shifter to new C7.

I had a machine at the shop that trimmed it up. Suppose to have pure fitment for future orders.
