People don't understand how much Da affects cars, and you are just learning the car, you'll be over a second faster when you get seatime, and run the car at a track with better DA.
In every car I've ever owned, the 1st run is about 1 second, better times will come, practice , and track conditions are everything.

With more power, one must have more skill, even though I'll be waiting for the performance model, I'd like to get some runs on the base, i will not be surprised when the base cracks 11's , at MIR on a rental , who knows?
The car IMO on a regular good track with good Da/driver, I'm guessing and average of 11.8's, I am saying average as I think it will go quicker.

Really? Wow, you must know a lot, as I only drag raced seriously for over 30 years across half of Canada and the North West USA. I am glad you are very knowledgeable in drag racing. Can I give you a tip? Don't post stupid things, it makes you look like you know nothing.

Cool, thanks. Launched from idle?

Sorry, are you talking a C7? If so, how come you didn't post a thread?

Yes the car is a C7 and I thought I would just add to this thread. I am not much of a poster. The car is good and they will get them into the
high 11's, especially out East this fall and winter on those great DA days.

Picture from Saturday night. Car ran inline with what it should given the conditions. I'm sure if I cared enough I could have gone faster. Didn't take anything out, had my stuff in the back for the hotel later, tire pressure was 34psi, didn't even let it cool off before running. Was just out having fun.

I ran my non Z51 A6 last weekend I could not get the launch control to work. I made a pass without the traction control and smoked the tires shifting into second. My best pass
was made with the tc on which killed the sixty foot.

60' 2.239
330' 5.592
1/8 8.285
MPH 91.06
1000' 10.596
1/4 12.524 @117.48

MPH is about 10mph under my Camaro race car which runs 10.50's (with 4.88 gears)
these cars should run in the mid to high elevens in good d.a. and drag radials

Awesome runs to those who posted numbers. I wish I could afford a C7, but will have to wait until I can get a 3 year old used base Z51. Saw one for the first time at a dealership...one word fits the whole car appearance...awesomse!!! Congrats on your new rides.

dont get so defensive , just because you guys are spending 70k plus for a newer car that runs about the same as a 12 year old Z, no reason to get all worked up. maybe they will come out with a Z06 stingray.

Not getting worked up or defensive at all

.....just smelling your pile of manure and calling you on it

......time slips.....videos please....and if your car is not stock then what you say doesn't matter......

I could mod a toy poodle to be faster than your 12 year old Z

........all it takes is a rocket strapped to it's ***.........

Hey......I will strap a rocket to your ***..... and you might beat a GTR....if you don't burn up first
