Default Ran the 2014 last night

C7 best slip was
2.190
5.626
8.467
87.06
10.873
12.910
110.42

Lots of 13.0s at 109-110mph. DA was ~5500-6000ft. Corrects to 12.0-12.1@116-117mph.

Drove it down to Tucson, 120 miles, ran it 7-8 times, drove it back. Didn't touch tire pressure, didn't do anything

It was fun. Car had 360 miles when we started driving down. 480-510 during racing, took it to dinner 1/2 through then back to the track.

z51, 3lt, 7 speed manual. All runs in track mode. About 1/2 with tc on and 1/2 with tc off.

Hi, good to see you posting. Watched your 12.91 run just before I left and it was great to see you bust into the 12's. Overall, what did you think of the car?

Nice step forward. I wish it was quicker. Seats are great for smaller people but as a large guy got annoying after 30-45 minutes in the car.

I knew people would say that stuff.

DA was 5300+ft. If your 02 Z would run that in those condition then great. Overall the car ran good for the conditions.

DA plays a big factor. Also his 60ft can use some work.

I ran the same day and track as Unreal. Remember folks, this wasn't his car and the last thing he wanted to do was break it, heck it wasn't even broken in.
That said, I think GM left some power on the table. The torque and HP nose over pretty bad. Just check some of the other posts on this forum.
My stock 315 HP car ran a best of 13.15 so I am sure there has to be more to the LT1 than this run shows.
Props to Unreal and his friend for allowing the car to come to SIR and run.

Exactly, the launch and 60ft are vital to a good ET.

A manual car on street tires with as much torque as the LT1 is pretty difficult to launch under a 2.0

This proves how UNEDUCATED many members of this forum are. NO CLUES about anything to do with drag racing/altitude etc. Just wan't to bash this car to the point of making themselves look like idiots.

Calm down Francis. The 02 Z06 has a MUCH better power:weight ratio, and it SHOULD do better in the quarter. Weight, weight and weight - the three things that make for a fast car, in that order.

Hey George, that isn't what he was implying.

Ran my Z51 auto at Indy this weekend and had a 12.02 and a
12.04 at a little over 116. This after I figured out how to launch
the car. The DA was 3200.

well I know I am more educated than you are at drag racing and most likely on most things, not bashing, c7 seems like a great car, you seem a little touchy

I turned off the TC, no power brake and a very small burn out with the tires dry. I held the brake just enough to hold the car and and then nailed
the throttle on the light. Worked great. Doing the same routine with the
TC on resulted is 12.506.
