Last night I was out at RPR and saw this C7 run a 11.6 @ 120, but shortly after I left it decided to drop some jaws... 11.47 @ 121.9 mph/ 65*
Stock with the exception of a LMR tune.
I feel like these 60 foots are impossible with the manual because of the clutch protection that's tuned in, especially after reading the other thread with Doug's car that went 11.9
I believe it was tuned before it went to the track, just a better 60 ft. I think the 11.6 pass was a 1.75 60.
Cool.
It sounds like he came up against the footbrake on that pass too. Interestingly enough, when I tried that, the car laid down a bit and dropped ~1.2 mph of trap speed and lost ~.05 in the 60'. Might have something to do with the fact that it's tuned.
It's great to see other cars out there now so we can all learn.

Jaw dropping indeed. To think that the C6 ZR1 was advertised to do the 1/4 in 11.3 seconds at 131 mph. The ET's are pretty darn close! The C7 must be hooking up and shifting something serious to make up for the horsepower difference between the two cars. Impressive!
Thanks guys for the compliments. I was definitely impressed with the numbers. Especially for not being in really cold weather. I believe it was 65 degrees. Which still good weather but low 50's would have been really nice.
Cool.

Yea the 11.6 seemed to like the higher stall up with a 1.74 60ft. That was a hot lap and I spun a hair like in the video of the 11.4 but not as bad. Shifting was also off as I was learning the new car plus I was a little nervous. Let it cool down a bit, done the same on launching (1.6 60ft) but got the shifting down a bit better. Worked out perfect.

Thanks. Hopefully me and the guys at LMR can get our plans for this week going and completed for the track next weekend. I'll keep everyone posted of changes and times.

1.68 is very impressive on stock tires. When a stock ZR1 had pulled a 1.68 on stock tires it has run a 10.66@132

Tommy...to confirm, with the tune it liked a little rpm on the launch? Also, you're shifting it manually?
I ran my car in auto, and just flashed the convertor on the 2nd yellow. It pretty much ran 1.74's all day like this.

Great times!!!
Sean.
Sean, I shifted it manually. I wanted to run the car in drive and let the computer do the work but the circumstances was a bit different for my track experience. Our local track is packed. Each lane is liable to have 30 cars plus and there's 4 lanes running at all times (sometimes more). I knew I was limited in passes so I started my day manually shifting so I couldn't afford taken the chances of making huge changes. Maybe next time or if a track rental comes available would be even better. There was a big truck forum race today so a lot of test and tuning was going on last night.

I was just the opposite. I started out letting it shift itself so just let it do the work, lol. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the shift logic in "Tr" mode in automatic.
