Yes, My vehicle has the Magnetic Ride option.

PTM (any one of them) are only used for road racing.

When drag racing, turn the mode selector to "Track",
push down on the T/C button to turn traction control off.

(I do not street race so I can only give details of my final launch
technique as it pertains to a sanctioned track that has
staging lights.)

After your burnout, then stage, and:

Hold the brake firmly with left foot, and at last yellow
before green, floor gas pedal and lift foot off brake.

I get virtually no wheel spin and the vehicle launches
hard. Car is totally stock and has low 1.7s 60 foot times.

Stay out of any PTM mode.......period. ( Drag racing)

BTW, I had help from a from a CF member, helping me to achieve
my results. I hope you do well also.

Thanks,

Craig

NO.

Track setting with T/C off. That's it!

You have 5 settings. WET. ECO.TOUR. SPORT.TRACK

Use Track and do not push button for any additional PTM settings, ie
PTM 1..PTM2....PTM 3 etc.

I had the same confusion. I put it in track hit the button twice and turned the dial to race. Nice ride. Gm should have better instructions and a dash icon that tells you LC is on.

I have a non MRC Z51 and launch control works fine as does no lift shift.

Make sure you are in Track mode, press traction control button 2 times quickly. The display will change. The key is to floor the gas as soon as the display changes. If you wait even a couple of seconds, it won't work. Revs will jump up to 4k then settle to about 3k. Make sure you have a tight grip on the wheel and just drop the clutch and hang on.

No lift shift works fine with launch control. Just keep the gas floored when shifting. It can be tricky as my brain is programmed to lift on shift but I was able to do it 2-3 times successfully.

I'm running 693 to the wheels and launch control is great. I get only minor wheel spin off the line. It will also chirp 2 pretty violently as well as 3rd but 3rd is not as violent as 1-2nd.

I did not nls on the below run but gives you an idea of how launch control works even if running FI.

On my 2016 Z51 with mag ride after you put it in track and press the button twice you get a sub menu offering wet dry sport1 sport2 and race. When setting the sub menu in race you can wait as long as you want to launch (reasonably) so there is no hurry on the line. Let me see, press the button once when the tree starts a second time on the second light-too much to do. Now I am talking about a sub menu in mine not your regular weather echo tour sport track settings. There seems to be no real directions out there because I believe the 2014 is different from the 2015 M7 different from autos, and the reg vettes, Z51s and Z51s with mag ride are all set up differently. Before I launch in launch control my dash will say "Performance Traction Management Race".

Hi there,

I hope all is well.

First time poster, long time lurker. I do not own a corvette but will once I behead my spouse, but I'll leave that for Another conversation in the lounge.

I am a proud owner of a Chevrolet cobalt ss, turbo, with lsd and gms1 ecm upgrade.

On our vehicles, a double tap of traction control enables competitive mode, where nls and launch control are active at all times
Coming to a light or full stop, launch control activates. I beleive the vette should be the same, however accessing it is different with regards to mag ride or no mag ride. There is no timeframe/window for launch control. On non ptm, you need to be in track mode for your double tap of traction control to enable comp mode. Drive around with TC off (doube tap, stabilitrak remains on). Coming to a light once stopped you dash should read launch control. If it does not, try it anyway.

At a stop, engage clutch all the way while in first. Add 100% throttle. It should hold at xyZ rpm for however long you hold the gas, until you depress either the gas or clutch.

As for NLS, it is active in competitive mode at all times. Give it try. Worst case the cutoff will do its job, no need to worry. You are driving the greatest piece of American automative tech out there.
