Default Squeaky Noise from roof

New C7 Transparent roof. Have some kind of squeaking over bumps. Reminds me of my old C6 and C3 but I thought this was fixed. Could it be something else like a trim piece? I did put lithium grease on the gasket seal and did wrap electrical tape on the front studs. I did adjust the rear roof clamp it was very loose. Does anyone know something I don't. I did read the threads on the C6 but the design seems to be different.

My glass top does that. I switched to the body color top and it doesn't do it that much.

That's a nightmare I thought was resolved.

This needs to be addressed by GM.

(Kidding) it's that dam rear roof latch that they kept from the c6! That's making that roof squeak!

Ugh!

All kidding aside bring it to the dealer and see if they can't adjust the roof and or put some gm spec'd lubricant.

Default Roof Squeak

Yes, The rear latch was rattling when I drove the car home. I have adjusted it 2 times. A total of 4 turns in for the hook part of the latch. Don't think I can adjust it much more, but it did help a lot. I guess I'll give it another turn. Also did lubricate the rubber but I think there are other places on the sides of the top that could use some. I'll play with it today.I guess its still a Vette.

Easiest way to address the problem, GM, is to make a fixed roof model.

I took the car to the dealer (KERBECK) today for service. They adjusted the striker on the passenger side to lower the roof . I noticed that every car there in the show room and outside all had the right side higher than than the drivers side. The service dept is going to have a lot of roofs to adjust.
They claimed the noise was gone, but I can still hear some squeaking on rough roads. Also I noticed the door of my console was rattling even though it has rubber stops on it. So I went to Home Depot and put some old fashion weather stripping on the plastic in the back of the compartment were the door hits it. Noise gone.
I hope that does it. It's still a VETTE !

I sure hope the hi-po model is a fixed roof coupe.

I am on board with this idea too.

The removable roof on my C6 does nothing for me. In 5 years it has been off only twice.

Way too much wind buffeting for my liking.
