Default Tire Pressure

Z51 folks, what tire pressure are you running on the street? Mine came delivered from the dealer running 34 psi all around. The manual and the door sticker calls for 30 psi cold. I set mine at 30 cold; it rides better but my TPMS is in alarm for both rear tires. That sure doesn't make sense, especially when the manual recommends dropping the pressure to 26 for track use.
Anyone else seeing this happen?

Joe

That is how the dealer inflated mine also. I checked the book and the door and it also says 30 psi so changed it and rides better but like yours monitor says tires in rear are low.???

I made an appt with the dealer. The day I took it in, the alarm had stopped so they couldn't find an issue. 2 days later it's back in alarm for the rear tires at 30 psig……

Guess I'll try again at the dealer.

Like you I have mine set at 30psi cold. Problem is (probably not a real problem tho) if I set the psi when the outside temps are mid 30's to mid 40's and I come back to the car and one side has been setting in the sun, they will read (once the computer picks up the signals) 1-2 lbs higher. And if I pull out of the garage when temps are in the 20's or lower, they read below 30. But hey, I shouldn't be driving on them at those temps anyway right ??? Shhh, don't tell anyone
