Think its important to call out something if it is really "snake oil"..not saying the cables are at this point absent independant testing but there are vendors on the forum who should be challenged if they are making unsubstantiated claims about products being peddled to the community.

Here's the problem - look around at all the threads on all the forums out there... It always turns into a giant mess, and in some cases has turned into legal action.
Hence my joke: "burn it with fire"... Take it for what it's worth...
Forget HP/TQ show me in a single cylinder test the make up of the exhaust from a stock wire to a aftermarket wire.
The only way you make more power is to burn more of the fuel and make a bigger explosion or increase the burn rate so more fuel burns when the compression is the highest.
Spark IGNITES fuel, it does not cause it all to burn. The finer the spray the better the burn and with the pressures DI has they are getting a pretty good spray that is a big reason DI makes so much more power in part because of better atomization of the fuel.
So if these guys really wanted to convince someone they would setup a test to show the resultant make up of the exhaust gas right out of the cylinder.
From that make up you could tell why and what changed inside the cylinder due to the wire.
Can they make a difference in a high HP/high RPM situation sure for a lot of other reasons but for a stock car the plug/coil is much more important.
Old thread but funny swing how many morons claim snake oil on a good wire. A shop I tune for me use them on every 700whp package. Why? 12whp 16 tq with just swapping a wire. Been done on multiple cars we do there. The higher the hp the bigger the gains. This is a typical lt4 with headers 5 inch intake and running on e60 with cooling mods like bigger hx and expansion tank. We did multiple tests on a few of these we did and the avg gain was 12whp with out putting on a pulley and adding any boost. High ethanol content a huge demand on spark it’s not really all that shocking. We did the same on an msd wire over stock no gains on it. So it’s worked for me and how I tune the cars. Some say no way to make that much on a few mods but I do it all the time so again not surprised some thing a wire can’t help hp. It all depends on the demands compression boost hp so on. On a stock compression lt1 yea no gain. On a 13.5 lt2 416 making 680whp yes the wires did make a good difference so I’m told by the same shop. People that don’t know as have not done the actual testing themself shouldn’t be screaming snake oil as it makes you look ignorant. I don’t sell them don’t have an account don’t care what brand it’s just the one we found that does work. So I decided to share info. Now as for the coils they do nothing what so ever over stock. Also tested them and saw zero gains. So while the wire does work the coils do not.
