We didn't switch our air flow? We offer it in both directions but have never had the request for top down yet, but I suggest following the OEM airflow of bottom to top. I also do not care for taking away 25% of the airflow to the radiator, but technically it is less expensive for me to add the air dam up top down then adding them below. Intercooler placement is identical.

We also have the option for the Air filter and sent them on all the original kits, we just had a window where they were not available from Green.
That said, someone looking for 550 rwhp from their kit is not going to see any significant gains from adding one, so if you would like to deduct that from the kit we are fine with that. Save a few dollars!

I need to work on our "official ECS SC" thread so this is more clear, I just held off until things are full speed here. We have several options from mild to a ten rib 2200R wild kit. I just held off because the orders are coming in so heavily that we are working at max speed. (thank you!)

That all said, I'm not saying you made a bad choice, I'm sure you will love your kit and great customer support as always!

Both are the good choice. Neither are a bad choice!

Doesn't look like it 's near 25 percent with a small lip that is not blocking the only air feed on the Z51.
Procharger with the whole thing in there yes I could see 25 percent.
Small lip that actually has to force air though. Air that is going in and part through the hood and the
rest down and out.
I don't know why the air dam is left off on the Z51 but is on the base car.

You can order any blower OR ANY KIT you like!
I do like the A&A balancer /pulley better but not $700 better for what I am going to do with it. I also like the A&A scoop for the intercooler. I like the ATI silicone hose setup too but they can't seem deliver or respond to my questions.

I like the pulleys and base blower on ECS kit. I like that it comes with the Tial BOV. Sounds like all the kits are going to be option packed so you can get what you want. Not a big fan of silicone pipes, rather have metal but that is me.

What I like about the silicone is only 4 connections downstream of the blower to minimize leak points and maybe it weighs less. I like the aluminum for heat transfer and long term durability though. I may RTV the joints in addition to the clamps on the aluminum setup.

You do get a 100.00 filter free too!
The bracket looks like a work of art with new design. Looks lighter but more solid than the other style. I wasn't worried about the price.
I ordered all black everything!

With any good clamps and install there is no need. Hell when I take my clamps off it takes an act of god to get the pipes loose. They pretty much bond to the aluminum. Adding RTV would just make a mess.

I don't know if you can say $100 filter for free since the A&A kit is more expensive. You just get more for a higher price. If they were the same price maybe you can say that but calling it free is a stretch. That is like saying ECS comes with a free T-trim if you buy their $5k bracket/intercooler setup.

Wasn't this about Procharger? Why did Doug and I get dragged into this? I really hate to see this stuff from either side.
I will make one point, however. It's my opinion that ANY manufacturer, whether it be Procharger, Pfadt, (and you all know what they did) ECS, A&A or whoever, that charges your credit card up front, should be avoided like the plague.
A reasonable deposit upon ordering and final charges when shipping should be sufficient.
We don't charge our dealers or retail customers that way. It's just bad business. More often than not, we don't charge anything until the kit is ready to ship.

Well said, Andy - a lot of this is coming down to preference. Some people are just becoming fanboys for their favorite kit. If it makes them feel better about their purchase at the end of the day, great. Objectivity is great, but you see how every thread gets going like this.

It's nice to see a few different vendors saying the same thing - pick the kit that's right for you instead of arguing incessantly over stupid crap.

The good news is that there's enough demand to keep you and Doug constantly busy making kits for the foreseeable future. Each has a place, just like it has been through the other generations.

By the way, as a message to the fanboys, the last person that did that got canned from the forums...

Don't mistake "fanboy's" for someone are looking at the kits to buy and mount themselves. Only right to compare them.
I want the best kit for my dollar. This fanboy can and will switch to another product if it proves better. You must be new here or new to Supercharging and the forum if you haven't seen all the stuff from the past 5-6 years plus in the old C-5/C-6 F/I forum.
No arguing or stupid crap! There is no stupid crap in a supercharger kit!

Both sides have a number of fanboys!

Of course it's right to compare... But listen to Andy. For Christ's sake... he's the maker of the kit you went with and he's telling you to cool it. Like he said, this wasn't even a debate and then somebody hopped in and started cheering for a kit they don't have...

First, that's the same crap that's been happening for months now, and it's getting old.

Second, Andy just gained a ton of respect from myself and others here for just coming out and saying that.

Companies like PC and Pfadt used customers to fight their battles for supremacy. It was ludicrous. Let's not turn a PC thread into an ECS vs. A&A debate. It's one thing to join in on something, but it's another to start it.

Everybody can see the differences now, and it's pretty apparent that both kits are top-notch. What would be great would be to have a second thread like my unboxing thread that just posts info and pics without any debates or arguing. That way, people can make the decision for themselves based on facts, not people like C6_Demon talking about the best kit ever...

Agree on the fanboys, but it's gotten better since those two left.

All of these kits are going to do the same thing and produce similar numbers. It's just about picking the kit that you feel you like best. Plain and simple.
