a) Not a closed road, it's a highway. Since street racing videos are allowed here now, there's no need to mislead...
b) Something smells wrong here... A blown C7 vs a CAI C6Z is not a contest in either 1/4 ET or MPH.
Not sure what the deal was there... 650fwhp/650fwtq vs 505fwhp/480fwtq... Z06 has 6.2lbs/hp - blown C7 that's properly tuned with those mods is at 5.3lbs/hp...

So.. long story short - Huh?
CAI z06 may have more, like a tune which would bring it to ~480-490rwhp, and it is lighter and maybe geared better for a roll. Plus both maybe traction limited and the Z may have had bigger/better tires.
True, but there are just too many variables in play here.
Either the C7 had a driver that was asleep, or the C6Z had more done to it than a CAI (be it tires, tune, weight reduction, god knows...).
Otherwise, physics dictates that 5.3lbs/hp vs. 6.2lbs/hp with the same (or close enough) aerodynamics is going to turn out only one way.
Oh well... Variables. I've seen a lot of so-called 'stock' cars at the track beat my *** up and down over the years, and I'm sure the rest of us have too.
Maybe the C7 was on low boost? There's definitely more to this story.
Also, the C7 looked like it was smoking pretty bad. If that's the case, he's probably not on low boost, and/or his tuner sucks and the C7 is gonna need a new motor soon.
Don't get me wrong, you have a great (and very nice) car there. But I'm sure you can agree that from the numbers, this just doesn't add up.
There has to be something up with his tune or boost levels. What are you putting to the ground?
Idk haven't been on the Dyno. I definitely thought he would pull harder on me. Guess with the 6 speed I was able to start off better
He is on low boost and pretty rich as u can tell once he lets off the gas

Does it smell like oil when you're behind him? Cause massive blow by will do that too.
Wasn't paying to much attention to it. I know he said he was gonna get something to help with crankcase pressure though.
Will get some better runs in another time we ran up on some cars that why we shut it down early both runs

Btw,
fwhp = front wheel horsepower.
rwhp = rear wheel horsepower
awhp = all wheel horsepower
Chp/Hp = Crank/Flywheel horsepower
Everyone knew exactly what I meant. If anyone here has front wheel horsepower...
Most people get confused when using 'hp', as they automatically assume to the ground... it's a minefield of stupidity. Technically, though, you're correct. I think I'm going to have to start some silly acronym like 'flwhp' for the people who look at you funny when you say hp isn't a measurement to the wheels...

Reason: Meant to have an emoticon the first time around...
I use FWHP for flywheel horsepower and everybody here understands what I mean just like everybody understood Theta and obviously you did too...I don't know why you felt the need to be "that guy", lighten up and enjoy the ride. If it bothers you that much, may I suggest you visit the Honda forums...there are no front wheel drive Corvettes.
BTW, there is no horsepower relationship for the acronym CHP so you are technically incorrect. (Put CHP in any search engine and see what you get...nada for horsepower.) BHP is the technically correct engineering acronym for horsepower measured at the crankshaft but most non-engineering people don't know/understand that term. Just use FWHP and you'll blend in just fine here.
