Thanks! I've been watching ur progress close. I trying to get past u, but we will see.
Side note: i noticed your username. My dad was in Vietnam. He was a grunt in the 196 Americal division. Over 200 combat assaults. Decorated 4 times over there and sad thing was nobody would hire him when he got back. When he came back to the states he had to change out of his uniform in the air port to avoid the protesters. Sad time in our history. Sorry I just take the Vietnam stuff pretty serious.
I guess we are going to be relegated to calling base cars "non-z51". Neither sounds too glamorous.
It's like when the c6 Grand Sport came out, no one knew whether to call the base model; base or narrow body.
Too bad Chevy didn't use a number system or give us nomenclature for these instances so we could all talk the same. (and give us something more prestigious than "non-z51")

Agreed... let's call the base car the Z50.5 or maybe the "C7 Street car edition" or the "non-track edition"
Great run! So you were using the paddle shift I suppose? With all of the negative factors involved, your car also appears to be a 11.60 car. Snorman indicated that you should be able to knock off 4/10 tenths by using the track mode.....he was very close. But you probably feel better the way you are doing it.

I do use track mode and put it in competitive driving. Then leave it in drive and just hold the brake and hold the gas to the floor allowing the launch control to do its magic. With 1.7 60ft on street tires I can't complain.
I did not realize that launch control allowed you to use full throttle with your foot on brake to launch. Neat. You're right, a 1.7 60ft. is excellent on stock tires.
11.7 is FAST. Few street cars out there are capable of this feat.

I feel kind of dumb here. I have owned a z51 with A6 and magnetic ride since early October and was not aware that it had launch control. How do you activate it?

It gives directions in your owners manual. I have an M7, so I can't recall how the manual said to do it on an A6.
