Default Additional 50-60 HP?

What would you guys recommend (other than a blower, etc), to add about 50-60 HP?

I want C6Z hp or more if possible with bolt-ons. Can I get there with CAI, exhaust, etc? Real world results and recommendations?

Go buy a C6Z

J/K

I have no earthly idea but i would *guess* people might tell you to do the CAI, Exhaust, & a Tune. No clue what that would net though.

Good luck

Based on what I've read here, this should be completely doable with a tune and bolt-ons.

Probably going to need to do ARH headers and X-Pipe, CAI, Exhaust such as Corsa or maybe the NPP, and a good tune. That should put you about where you want to be..

Good one. Actually, I am considering just that!

But, I would to get that level in the C7 if possible. However, the HP is only part of the equation. The tires, weight, etc are needed upgrades too.

Hmmm.....

My car just put down 443hp to the wheels with headers, x-pipe, exhaust, and a tune. So that's right where you want to be. Maybe add CAI and you'll easily be there. A cam will easily get you the HP you want too, like just cam and tune vs stock.

Great advice. Do you have a ballpark cost estimate for the total for the parts?

Headers + exhaust + tune will run you around $4k. Cam + tune no idea, I'd assume much less. However, if you ask Theta and myself the headers alone are worth the money just for the sound.

Here's the video one of my dyno pulls

An additional 50-60rwhp, you will be in the ballpark of a cam. Bolt-ons numbers still wont get you near a Z06.

Most people's cars with bolt ons seem to argue otherwise. But whatever.

I don't know what you mean with your reply, sir. I hope this is a debate not an argument. If you are just talking about dyno numbers....then the numbers could be close. But when you put these two cars on the ground with the C7 bolt on.....not going to happen against the C6 Z06. The C6Z06 is considerably faster than the C7....hands down. 125 mph trap speed through the 1/4 mile for the Z06 and about 200 mph top speed. By the way, nice numbers. I know of a friend with similar bolt ons which resulted to 442/450 automatic.

Why waste the money! The blower is way to go! Easy install and For sure these cars
have a perfect set up for a blower kit. No headers here and
around 700 under the hood.

You have do one hell of a lot mods to even come close. The Supercharged lighting bolt the C7 becomes!

Yes, I was referring to pure HP numbers. Didn't know you were talking performance. As we were. And thank you.

Headers, tune, cai, will get you the HP numbers your looking for.

Just ARH longtube headers will get you from the 410-420 area to 440-450 area with a tune. This is what we are seeing

Spend $4k+ for 50hp.

Spend $5k+ for 200hp.

Remember, while the financial numbers make sense, maybe he has the goal of specifically doing it NA to be different from the rest. Maybe he does not want to push his engine as hard as FI would. Honestly, until I see a few C7's with 60K or higher miles on an FI setup without issues, I personally will not consider FI. Too much a risk for me. My C7 is my daily and I value my warranty

Exactly. I want to go NA FIRST, THEN IF ALL IS WELL WITH THE GUYS PUSHING THEIR S/C'd C7's, I'll bolt one of them on with a little less boost maybe.

Great replies. Thanks!

We have tuned manual C7's with American Racing Headers and it may get you close to C6Z dyno numbers, but don't expect it to necessarily be as fast as one as you will still be heavier given equal drivers and conditions.

Agreed. The C6Z is a very wicked car for many reasons.
