There are a couple others that I didn't post, but I will if you want me to (Rear Wheel Drive Shaft, etc).
That was a trip - didn't expect it to get that intense.
I didn't expect it to be that involved either. Not to mention the need/cost for leaf spring compressors. No where even close to as easy as remove/replace the leaf spring in the rear of a C3!
I wonder if the job can be done without the leaf spring compressors? Even when available used on eBay they sell for a handful of hundred dollar bills! Each!
Theta, thank you so much for taking the time to share this information with me. GREATLY APPRECIATED.
No problem - that was a really long one (longest I've done for someone yet), but I felt that you needed to see the whole picture.
The tools required are both the -a AND -b variants, which are apparently different... $1500 for the tools and adapters before you even start the rest of the mess (and what a mess it is).
This is when it starts going off the rails and I wonder what I've gotten myself into... hold on tight.
thank you for talking me out of changing my springs, i have the z51 bars on my c7 non-z51 car and my z51 shocks will be in tomarrow( i have a giant event at ponoco june 13th-15th) and after seeing all that, im good!(done).

Man you can say that again! Swapping out the springs is NO WHERE as easy as I would of thought. This may very well change may thoughts on getting Z07 for the carbon ceramic brakes and swapping out the springs if the ride is too harsh. The tools will cost more than the springs! And the labor is far from trivial. I had no clue.
Damn man, that is one hell of a process. I hope the life expectancy of the springs are a good many years. Thanks for taking the time and effort to post such a detailed how to Theta.
For anyone who has installed coilovers on a C7, how many hours does it take to remove the OEM leaf springs and install a set of coilovers? Are there any short cuts? The procedure shown looks a little daunting on paper, but one hopes it's not as involved as it looks.
I've been poking around under there, cutting my spring bolts, etc. it looks like they will take about 30 minutes including levitation using a socket and ratchet and/or wrench.

That's awesome - the procedure just looked stupidly long in the rear, but I hope it's not the case for you. If there's anybody who can handle it, it would be you.
