You can not add any washers to the bottom as it is on the eccentric.
I just got my alignment redone this past weekend and figured I'd post up as confirmation of everything noted here (if nothing else).
I plan to do ~4 track days per year and didn't want to keep swapping my alignment around to even out the tire wear, so I went with something a bit more "middle of the road".
Specifically, -1.4 on the front and -1.0 camber on the rear with front caster at 7.2 and ~.05 toe in all around. As expected, -1.0 camber is all that you can get out of the rear without removing the upper washers, but it was all I was looking for, so we left that stuff alone.
The car still drives and corners very predictably on public roads (as expected), and the next track day is Sep 15th, so we'll see if the tires wear a little better than they did with my first track day back in mid August.
Baer makes an adjustable rear toe link for the C7 that eliminates the eccentric that may help if needed.
I just checked with Baer and their adjustable rear toe link for the C7 is not yet available. Anyone know of any others?
I really don't want to have to start pulling/putting washers in and out behind the A-arms, and my alignment guy doesn't want to either to get the rear camber to its GM recommended value for the track while maintaining rear toe value.
I was not able to find anyone offering an adjustable rear toe link for the C7 at this point.
For now, it would appear it's either remove the washers or stick with -1.1 degrees of camber (or less).
Supposedly washers have been removed. And toe still kicks out after 1.4-1.5
They settled at 1.5
I see a large change in toe from changing rear caster. Maybe your rear caster is in a range that shifts the toe beyond what the eccentrics can correct.
When I first had my C7 aligned for the track, the shop tech said he could not get the rear toe within spec with the camber in the rear set to the track spec value. But when I took my car home and put it on my lift, I noticed that he had the caster way off as each eccentric on the lower A-arms was in a very different position front to back, and different on both sides, as he obviously did not measure or adjust for proper rear caster. Rear end was then twitchy on track.
Thanks guys. They didn't remove the bolts up top but still
Managed -1.5 in the rear with .05 toe. -2 in front with 7.7 caster. Iirc. I'm
Still trying to acquire a rear caster tool
