I've been trying learn about the driver demand on the E92 (C7 LT1 and truck L86). As I understand, HP Tuners has sophisticated tuning around the driver demand. Diablosport In-tune appears to only have the ability to turn torque management on or off on the ecm and/or tcm. What is the main differences between these two tuning methods? Is the Diablosport leaving a lot untapped potential that HPTuners can access or not? Is driver demand completely different that torque management or basically the same?
the driver demand logic is part of a bigger engine control method known as torque management.....
torque management control everything now, idle to full throttle to air conditioning to transmission shifting, etc. driver demand is a part of that system.

Does that mean that turning off torque management eliminates the driver demand restrictions also?
There is no such thing as turning off torque management anymore. The term "turning off torque management" is sort of an old school (a few years ago) reference to eliminating the power restrictions put in place by retarding timing or closing throttle during shifts or limiting power output in the same way above certain limits.
Things have changed with the E78 and the E92 controllers. Driver Demand is not a restriction. It is the first step in telling the computer what your intentions are, then it tells the engine what to do based on it's interpretation of your intention.
Now you alter the ECUs interpretation (along with optimizing spark and cam timing and air fuel ratios, etc).
Thanks, great info. Sounds like I still have a lot to learn. So does the Diablosport IN-Tune for the C7 have an option listed to turn off and on torque management on the ecm and tcm like it does for the 2014 GM truck with the 6.2 L86? If so, what is that option doing? The IN-tune for the truck does not have anything listed at driver demand. I think it has the E92 also and would have driver demand.
