I run my 2014 non NPP exhaust with NO MUFFLERS and just the new Flowmaster 4" tips specifically made to fit the C7---- It is just barely louder than a NPP car with the valves open---and I saved the $1200 for NPP------There is no drone or vibration-At cruise it is totally un noticeable----Stomp on it and it growls like a beast---
These cars have 4 cats--at they really quite them down a lot--even with no mufflers !!

I did the corsa x pipe, and since that wasn't loud enough I did the BB mufflers. It's louder has a good growl but no where near as loud as my old Pantera. So as I understand you have to keep the back valves because it puts up some kind of signal to the computer, but you have no other mufflers on the car? While I was changing the mufflers I did start the car with no mufflers and it sounded pretty good, but I thought just at idle wasn't too bad but if you were going down the street it would be pretty loud with no mufflers and what about the back valves (before the mufflers that I understand must be hooked up).

Do you have a sound tape? I would love to hear what the car sounds like with no mufflers. Did you run the x pipe also or keep the stock one on?
They are the Active Fuel Management valves that open and close depending on 4 and 8 cylinder driving modes.
The "back valves" that you speak of are simply butterfly valves that close almost completely ONLY when the DOD system is operating --Other than that they are always set to full open ---In order to delete these butterflies from closing do the delete the DOD in your tune
These valve are a whole different pair of butterflies that the NPP exhaust mod uses---
