I have a 2014 vette withe z51 package. I drove it to town the other night and smelled burning rubber. When I got home you could smell it through the rear quarter vents. Chevrolet is setting up an appointment for service but was wondering if anyone had the same experience.
Just an update.......the dealership said the burning rubber smell was the rear brakes seating and that it was nothing to worry about. I reported a wabbly feeling in certain turning conditions and the dealership said that it was because the tires were so big and when they were cold they would do this. It does it cold or hot. The dealership said they had called Detroit and talked to TAC and this is what they were told.
I know this is an OLD thread, but I just experienced this, and it's worth bringing to the front again for anyone curious.
A Google search brings up this thread, and another thread from a different forum that suggests it can happen after driving in heavy rain, which is exactly my situation. I noticed it a few days ago after getting caught in a really heavy downpour with lots of pools of standing water on the road.
