Default Finally 0-60, and more....

I finally hit 3.8 for 0-60 - with wheelspin......

First - I'm am addicted to my corvette. I have had 30 + cars in my life. Everything from a '63 belair to a prius. BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Ford, GM, etc. This is the first car I have truly enjoyed owning and working on. I'm a mechanic at heart, love turning wrenches and worked for SLP engineering when I was a kid (building firehawks and camaro ss) in Montreal. I was a welder for years. Now I own an Insurance company in St Louis and wear a suit and tie all day long. I look forward to getting my new parts and am impressed with the way this car is put together and the ease of working on it.

So I have rediscovered my hobby and passion, and what a cool community to be a part of. Never knew it, even when I had an '84 vette back in the day......so that's my little story to start with - now the fun stuff:

So I have been trying to get a sub 4 second 0-60 since I bought the car...... frustrating to say the least

Car is a base stingray, 7 speed, NPP - AFE CAI, Diablo Trinity (new AFE tune 93) and weaponX ported TB. Z51 sway bars and shocks, Z51 powdercoated black wheels, new michelin pilot super sports (non run flats) 305 rear, 265 front, z51 spoiler - waiting on MGW shifter and Procharger over next 2 weeks should be here.

I'v tried launch control - never got better than a 4.0 0-60 and that was downhill (no joke)

I've tried will all the grannies turned off - never got better than 4.2 0-60 and usually would have to pedal through the first 100 ft or so

Today, just for the hell of it I thought, just put it in sport, nothing turned off and see what happens - BOOM - 0-60 in 3.8

GEEEZ - who'd a thunk it???? don't mess around and just see what it does without all the buttons pushed......

Conditions - concrete - 55 degrees - michelin pilot super sports (non run flats) 305/30/20 - and still with some wheelspin off the line and going into 2nd.

With some drag radials I think this is an easy 3.5-3.6 0-60

For those of you considering early and easy mods - all my mods were easy to do, were cheap, and made a difference. If you are looking for seat of the pants - diablosport tuner was my first (trinity) - woke the car up and gave me some adjustments that I could dial in the car to my preferences. The AFE made a difference too, and when combined with the TB was a really nice mode for not too many $$$s. I updated the tune 2 weeks ago with the new AFE diablo tune - found more seat of the pants fun.

I'll attach a few pics too

Mid 3's is doable with better conditions - some pics - 2 runs back to back, same wheel spin off the line, same wheel spin shift 1-2, same 0-60

there's 50 ft of spin off the line and another 15-20 ft from 1st to 2nd shift

Couple better screen shots of the data log. Time stamps at bottom of screen shots.

Our C7 did 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. 0-120 in 11.3 seconds.

I'll have my procharger in about 2 weeks - I'll be hunting for sub 3 second 0-60 times with some DRs - no more playing around - want to have a sleeper look and break into the 10's
