If the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system is malfunctioning and the
DIC displays SERVICE TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM, StabiliTrak will
be affected as follows:
. StabiliTrak cannot be turned off by the driver.
. If StabiliTrak is off, it will be turned on automatically.
. Competitive Driving Mode or Performance Traction Management is unavailable.
. StabiliTrak will feel different in aiding and maintaining directional control.

On page 10-55 the manual also indicates failed or missing sensors will cause the Service Message to light.

It certainly sounds like the system has the same response to the lack of tire pressure sensors as the C6 has.

Thanks for the info Bill, I drove up over a 100 mph and did some pretty aggressive driving. I have had the experience with the C6 issues, I have not felt any speed reduction or handling intervention so far on the C7. As you mention the lose of performance traction management and competitive driving I am not concerned about. I am just concerned now about the stabiliTrak, I was going to use one of the sport settings that had less intervention with the stabiliTrak. After reading what you have posted the StabiliTrak may interfere more or different than designed. I am running the factory Michelins for the first session, and then I will try the Nittos with no sensors and see how it responds in a track environment. If I track this car again I am just going to go ahead and put in tire sensors.
Thanks
