Default How wide can you go?

What's the widest tire you've got on a non-z51 or Z51 while keeping either 19"s or 20"s(respectively) on the rear? What rim are you using? What offset (if any) are you using?

you will get a lot of answers to this....

375s have been stuffed in but if you want full suspension travel and adjustability, i would not go wider than 305 (maaayyyybe 315) and I would also not use a lower offset than +79 on a 10 inch wheel (more offset with wider wheels).

the problem is there is not much room to push the wheel/tire out to the fender (in the rear) without risking contact. there is room to increase width by using higher offsets and pushing the wheel in, but this narrows the track width, which is a draw back on a road course (not a big deal on drag strip).

you can fit an 11 inch rim with 305s on a +80 or more offset (stock is +79) but much more than that is too much for me. a lot of aftermarket options out there right now stick out.

Thanks for the info! 305 is what I was thinking. I definitely want to maintain full suspension travel but need something I can up with a little better. Thanks again.

Particle man, thanks for the info again. Do you know if that +79 offset is for all the wheels or certain wheels (Z51 and so on)? I have a non Z51 with the 19x10" on the rear. If the wheel offset is say 50mm I can in theory push the offset with a 30mm spacer to get it to 80 correct? Sorry for all the questions I'm just trying to get schooled up.

both Z51 and Base wheels are +79 (rear)

a spacer will push the wheels out further and reduce backspacing. what you want is more offset and the only way to get it is to produce the wheel that way.

use this Wheel Size Comparison to help you see what difference specs do.

I kept it simple on our shop car....1/2" wider wheel and 1" wider tire (265 front and 305 rear's)

Talking to Dave at Forgeline if you want to go really radical you can stuff a 305 under the front of the car and a 315/325 in the back. The only issues is that you will loose some travel with it, and the tires rub at full lock on the front but for those wanting an aggressive AutoX or road course setup, that is the most you can stuff under it.

Our first C7 with the 265/305 combo

I've done C7s with Forgelines on about everything already:

On stock 285 Z51 tires:

Michelin Supersport 305s which are as wide as the Toyo 315s

18s

Toyo 315s

Toyo 325s

Doing a set of Pirelli 325s right now for a set as well. It's all in the offset. I love the wider look of a 325! These will look like David from Forgeline's first 21s.

I have the Pirelli 375s on my C7 for the street

as well as M&H 325 Drag Radials for the track

If memory serves me correct.....the front is a 18x9 at a 54 and the rear is a 19x10.5 at a 79.

Im shopping for a set of track day wheels in 265 / 305 complete with tires and sensors for my Z51.
Would you please price me up with a set and let me know what the colour / finish options are?

Just did a quick shot of our car with the slicks we have been testing on it.

265-650-18 front and 305-685-18 rears mounted on our GT2 wheels in black.

I have a complete new set already mounted ready to ship too!

He asked for a track package.........didn't say it was going to be driven to the track at first.

Besides...they would have to catch you first.
