Went for a drive this morning when turning to the left at higher speed hear a grind. Even with small amount of turn. Yet when still no noise. I looked can't see any rubbing. Took wheel off no signs. Nothing loose when pulling on tire? I did mid length headers a few was ago but all looks clear. Any ideas?
You did mid headers a few what ago ??
You need to describe where the noise is coming from--- front --rear is your car an A6 or manual---
I assume your car is a C7--if so these cars have "electric steering " so NO power steering pump----The Only time mine feels or sound weird is when in full turn left or right--But I assume it's something we have to get used to with the new steering system

sorry for the typo. that was weeks ago. car is m7 z51. I only hear the noise at higher speeds 40mph. it happens when turning left only and with a quick turn of wheel. sounds like metal to metal grind.

Take it back to the dealer---Sounds like something is amiss---I had to take my 2014 back after 2 months as it pulled horribly to the right while cruising---come to find out the alignment was NOT even close !!
As far as My experience has been the only issues on these new cars is alignment and "steering"
