Default Supercharger Installed Pricing

Any thoughts on why there seems to be such a wide difference in installed pricing? It seems most shops are using A&A and ECS as their basic kit. Why would it cost anywhere from 6k to 10.5k installed depending on the shop? (This is just for basic kit no headers etc)

Please no flaming I am just curious. I had an A&A supercharged C6 and loved it. Thinking about going with ECS this time. Just trying to do my research.

It all depends on their markup of the S/C kit, what they charge for labor (and how fast/experienced their techs are), and how much they charge for tuning.

The lower end of your quoted range is fair, but the upper end is ridiculous. Guys are doing the install themselves in a garage over a weekend, so no reason it should take an experienced shop more than 6-8 hours of install labor with lifts, proper tools, etc.

I would first see what the actual shops such as ECS themselves are charging as a base point. Then make sure all apples are the same. IMO the right tuner himself is worth the money after all I myself would rather pay more if it gets me the best, then less if it only gets me a mess. We are tuning very expensive cars here. ECS themselves installed mine 7 years ago and never had I had so much a burp from my car and that is priceless. A very good friend of mine who is on here on two different occasions did not use them ECS, because everyone else more local said it can be done cheaper and it has now cost him 2x more then ECS would have done it for plus months of lost use with car. Experience is priceless. Suggestion if you were considering using ECS products which you should anyway call them to share your thoughts and get their recommendations, better to hear it from the horses mouth.

It should cost no more than 6-10k all in. Vengeance shows $7500 all in on their site I believe.

Price of kit + $1k-$1.2k install and dyno tune for any of these Centri kits is what it should be.

These kits install way quicker than previous gen kits. Proper tuning takes a bit more time than older gens but not significantly so as to warrant a cost increase.

I've been quoted $6k installed for any of the 3 common Centri kits.

Anything over $6.5k IMO is overcharging.

Think a few Forum Vendors had a deal for $6k or even $5500 installed for a ECS / A&A kit.

Thanks for all the feedback. Much appreciated! Looks like I might need to do some traveling or do the work myself. Most places in TX are way more than 6.5k.

When I did the math I figured 5500 for supercharger (some profit built in..I know you can order for less)
8hrs labor at 125 is 1k
500 for tune

Should be around 7k? No?

That was what my C6 cost. But when I look at local tuners Houston, Dallas etc they list way more than that. I was under the impression install was a bit simpler on 7.

I know from personal experience, if you try to go cheap you may regret it. I now have $18k in something I thought would cost $6k because I didnt listen. I would gladly pay Vengeance the $7500 if I were you...

I'd be happy to find someone who can do it in a short period of time.

So many places I called wanted the car for 6-7 weeks. It only takes a week, tell me which week and I'll have it there.

Even offered to pay up front to retain my spot.

Unfortunately all the reliable shops are no where near me and the tuning has me spooked a bit.

I bet your car isn't the same as a stock C7 with a standard blower and tune for $18k.
