This is one of the reasons I keep telling folks we havent seen the best times out of these cars yet. As far as we can tell the mags didnt use this feature when they published their specs. And most guys wont shift their cars this way for fear of breaking something. But there are a few of us out here that have been speed shifting for years without the protections of this feature.

That what im saying , Speed shifting is strictly business
Back in the day, they used to call it power shifting. Great way to squeeze out a little faster time running it up thru the gears. Also a good way to snap axle half shafts, drive shafts, differentials, or other weak points in the drive train, especially if you've installed big power adders like superchargers, heads cam headers, turbochargers etc. Theoretically, no lift shifting capability in the the Stingray/Z06 ( if left stock) has the strength and or protections to enable no lift ( power) shifting without damaging components.

It's not the same thing. As a driver you do the same thing, but now the car manages the throttle and timing to allow this to occur (more) safely.
I'm glad you asked this, I wondered the same thing after seeing a ZR1 and ZL1 use it. I just assumed the REV MATCH was the replacement. But, I would like to see someone post of video of a C7 actually doing this.
Whats y'all thoughts on REV MATCH VS NO LIFT SHIFT?

It is known as Launch Control and all you have to do is read the Owner's Manual to see how it is done. GM put it Corvettes in 2010 to compete with BMW, Porsche and other high end cars so it has been around for a while. As long as you keep your right to the floor on the shift it will work. Chicken out and lift your foot and it drops out of Launch Control because there is no way for the car to know why you lifted your foot.
