Keep in mind the shop tuners get the most recent updates and beta updates. Yours may be a few updates behind the shop tuners. But still a good investment if you make mods

Finally had the time to install the flex fuel sensor on my C7---happy to reply the conversion was seamless-- At P/T there is virtually no difference and is completely un noticeable---- During PE from about 2800 on up the ECM adds apprx 2 degrees of timing which is normal for my 47% ethanol content--- After increasing the content to 66% the timing adder went to +3 degrees----all the increases in ethanol and the respective timing made the 40-100 times quicker---When getting to 70% the timing adder was at + 4 degrees-----Fueling was set at a safe .83 lambda-------Now going to experiment with adding more fuel and timing to see if it responds better----Right now I'm at apprx 26.5 degrees timing from 2800 on up to about 6000 where it drops off to approx. 22 degrees-------No KR at all and no audible pinging--

you will not get knock retard or hear pinging ever on E85. get it on a dyno before you advance right past mbt.

Mine should be delivered today. I received the key in an email last night. If you download from the login page can you install the drivers for the USB cable from there as well or do those load from the CD? I'm hoping to have time to download my tune and poke around tonight.

Drivers should install automatically. Might as well load the CD then download and install the updates from your homepage. Keep in mind the Beta (2.25) is only available through Support by request. 2.24 will be the only link unless you request Beta.
If you are only going to be tuning your car then you really don't need 2.25, although it is the future version. The 2.25 Scanner is not fully functional so if you want reliability and full features then stick to 2.24.
Thanks for the insight. I honestly won't be doing any real tuning for awhile. I'm just tired of my current issues I'm experiencing and this will give me insight into things and force me to start learning. I can data log and make minor adjustments based on feedback from guys like yourself and T/A who have similar mods and are reporting out real world results based on your learnings. I'm soaking us as much as I can and once I have the tool I can really get in there and investigate some of the more in depth items you guys have been discussing and look at the table values myself.
Just take is slow and do lots of reading. There is a ton of good info in the HPT and EFILive forums and tutorials. I learned on the LS1B controller in my 02 C5. The E92 in the C7 is a completly different beast compared to the LS1B. I have a lot to learn (always) to begin understanding how the E92 works.

I've already been lurking over at the HPT forums reading quite a bit and seeing several familiar names which is good. One can never have too many hobbies.
If anyone needs a tune after the sensor install, I have everything you need. My tune is flawless, and built for reliability, and adjusts to altitude, and humidity. Additionally, if you decide to add headers, or any other parts down the road, the first update tune is free
I am seriously thinking about doing this E85 mod because it is readily available here. My only issue is having a tuner close by that can make the (proper) adjustments. My question is.. Can the car be driven after the sensor and wiring are installed and connected to find a tuner or does someone out there have a flash type tuner for this set up as I am not like Higgs and you others that tune your own cars.... Thanks
It seems like tuning for this is in the stone age from what I see. On my little ST I have multiple tunes that I can flash on the fly, anywhere from crappy 87 octane to e30 mix. The tuning was done specifically for my car by sending in log files of performance in 3rd or 4th gear full throttle pulls. The tuning was rather cheap and the tuning device (Cobb access port) was about $350. I do realize whats being done here is a little more elaborate, making the ECU understand what % E is running but if I could just flash a tune for e30, e50 or e85 on the fly it would be awesome.

This will adjust automatically by reading the amount mix in your tank . No need to have separate tunes once installed and tuned correctly the first time. Its really a pretty inexpensive mod that does a lot.

I know I like the idea a lot, unfortunately I think it's past novice mechanic abilities like me.
