yeah, the tuning is way more difficult than people think. It took my tuner about 3 months to make it perfect. It works as good if not better than the new Gen5 truck motors do in regards to reliability. If anyone is looking for the most reliable solution, I have that vendor

I was wondering if any identified the PID's necessary to monitor the ethanol % and anything else related? Would like to see if Torque for Android could pick up the PID and report on it.

I also think it depends on what version of HP Tuners. It's been awhile since I hooked it up, but there for awhile the newest version of the software wouldn't give the option to view the percentage the the previous version did. This may have been corrected by now but something to check.

If anyone needs a tune after the sensor install, I have everything you need. My tune is flawless, and built for reliability, and adjusts to altitude, and humidity. Additionally, if you decide to add headers, or any other parts down the road, the first update tune is free

I would appreciate it if any c6 owners would post their results with Dave's sensor and use of e85 blends on their cars. I know this should be on the c6 site but am not sure how to move a copy of this thread over to it.

I just installed Dave's etoh sensor on my 2008 c6a6. The kit was aircraft quality and complete. I knocked the retainer tag out of the ecm connector so that I did not have a positive register with the pin installed at location 40 (on a c6 this is the correct location) I then went to my local Spinx gas station to put in some e85 only to discover that they have pulled it from their entire market now the closest source is a 1 hour drive! What a bummer! Now I am getting a p0430.

Trifecta informed me recently they now offer an E-85 C7 tune.
Their base tune on my stock 2015 A8 re-calibrated both the ECM and TCM. I had their base tune now for 13,000 miles and enjoy the car a lot more.

Trifecta Tune is based on what we did with my car. I daily mine and it's been running smooth since I have fired up this thread. We updated the start up sequence recently so it's much smoother with headers and E85. Awesome tune, with fantastic power output.

Any recommendation on which headers and cold air intake might maximize the Trifecta E-85 calibration? I'm thinking of the ARH "mid-length" headers with cats and AFE CAI with "dry" filter.

I didn't follow your other thread but did you see any gains on E85 when you were completely stock?

I have been running e85 for about 3 months now and am running 27 degrees at WOT with no KR. Mileage is off by 30% as expected and part throttle and full throttle response is noticeably improved. My car when stock had ET and MPH at Atlanta GA. (1200 ft elevation and DA usually 2000 +++) 13.05 and 109. Now with factory Z06 exhaust, and drag radials at the same track 12.08 and 116. Car and driver weight 3420. Thanks to Dave Steck
