Default Intake/head spacer for increased runner length

Has anyone messed with intake spacers between the intake and heads?? I have a spare lt1 intake in my shop and a rough estimate of the intake runner length was 8.5 inches.

Does anyone know the head runner length? If I had to guess its around 5 inches maybe less.

I am willing to bet a 1.5 to 2.5 inch spacer would give tq and hp throughout most of the rpm band

I thought about the truck intake, just wondering how the CSA would compare to the lt1?

I think spacers could be built pretty easy, and it would be a nice comparison (swap intakes in no time)

Those should work. Dont use the truck intakes, they make peak power about 5700rpms, which is way too low.

Would the insulating properties of these spacers result in lower iat's and result in more POWER on na motor?

Potentially...at least in theory. I believe Jeremy @ Fasterproms said he's going to look into making a set for the LT1. I have run phenolic thermal barrier intake manifold gaskets on previous cars with good results.
